This show is the king of using the last 10 seconds to get a "holy shit" from its audience.

A sex scene that actually contributed to the plot. A+

What a fantastic episode that was! Holy shit, I can't wait for next week. What an ending. Saul and Jessie have both grown on me considerably this season.

Interview in today's LA Times. Great dynamic between the two. "I'm sorry, I zoned out".

Paul: Whenever we do interviews together, he's like, "Make sure I'm on the pedestal I deserve to be on."

Cranston: And be sure to clean off the pedestal while you're at it.

Agreed. Once again I was on the edge of my couch yelling OMG OMG through most of it. I can't believe there is only one left for the season. I have no doubts its going to be mind blowing.

my program guide tells me that the first showing of tonight's finale runs an hour and forty-five minutes long, but encore presentations of it thereafter takes up the usual ~1 hour duration. looks to me like AMC's packing the first run w/ clips, interviews and other nonsense.

edit: phew, the last forty was just AMC trying to shill some new show to its viewers.

what'd ya all think 'bout last night? not quite the WTF finale that season 2 gave us, but a top-notch episode nonetheless. loved the opening flashback of young Walt, the ambitious go-getter. Gus's cleaner/Saul's PI is badass. Jesse in tears at the end was insane, for a second there i thought he was gonna pull the trigger on himself.

RIP innocent Gale and his peculiar musical tastes?

i'm convinced this show is better than Mad Men. the way this show is shot is fucking stunning. even the dreary "Fly" episode was technically perfect.

Loved the episode, wish TV guide didn't lie about it being an hour+ long, I was disappointed with it finished early...

You are that confident Gale is dead? It looked like Jesse moved the gun to the right of Gale before firing.

Gale is dead for sure, it looks as if gale moved and jessie moved the gun to shoot him or just the camera changing angles makes it look that way, gale has to be dead if walt wants to live...

that's why i used the question mark. i'm leaning towards yes, that is i probably agree w/ geno that it's the camera changing angles.

WTF? I just watched it. The episode was only 51 minutes... I thought it was supposed to be an hour and a half and it didn't even run a full hour.

Agreed they left it up in the air as to whether or not gale actually got shot. It looked like jessie chickened out and shot next to him but we won't know now until next season. This was a good episode but I liked last weeks better. I kind of feel ripped off out of 9 minutes.

I'm also in the camp that thinks maybe Jessie didn't shoot him. I can see Jessie using Gale as a bartering chip in some way. Great season and a great show all around.

ETA, apparently we were wrong lol

At least in September we get more Dexter.

took me a couple weeks, but i got through the first three seasons of this. easily now my favorite tv drama currently airing. well acted and written. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are great in this. will recommend to many friends.

I started and caught up with this show in 3 days. It's fucking phenomenal. I was yelling at the screen for the last part of One Minute. I think every single person was perfectly casted. I always thought Bryan Cranston was fantastic in Malcolm in the Middle too!!

yes. i was completely thrown by this. he does a fantastic job. watching the behind the scenes, he seems to keep the set light and funny, which is probably good for a show like this.

Dexter's already part of my bottomless TV appetite. the start of BB's prior seasons was perfect timing, can't think of many other big time dramas i cared for that BB competed with then. wonder how this change affects Mad Men.

my yearly drama schedule looks (embarassingly) something like this:
True Blood & Mad Men -> Dexter -> Big Love -> Breaking Bad & Southland -> Treme

    edit:
someone just linked me to this interview w/ the creator of BB 'bout the S3 finale. short summary: Gale could come back, Tuco was killed off 'cos he had other acting commitments.
