well then i'm obviously missing something, because i have no idea what "GB" and "walt whitman" have to do with making meth.
OH, gale was the other chemist. i thought it was from his college friend. that makes a lot more sense then.
Holy shit, so Walter's past friend/co-worker, Gwen Schwartz, was a fan of Walt Whitman, and give that book to Walter White with that written note?
EDIT: Ok Frazzles that said contrary...I mean, at this point, it really doesn't matter, but now I am just curious for the sake of knowing, was it Gwen or Gale that gave Walter that book?
Jesus fucking christ didn't they show Gale giving him that book in a previous episode?
Give it up.
They may as well have had Hank watching Gale's Major Tom karaoke video on Youtube and seeing Walt's "LOL, BRO!" comment under it.
btw, all this "gretchen brown/grey matter" bullshit seems to stem from one blog and has been washed through dozens more through a cursory search. It's hilarious how quickly it gets thrashed on them all.
I'm disappointed either way. Either Walt's stupid for dropping the book in his bathroom or it's an incredible reach with this whole "Schwarz/Black" crap. either way it's bad writing.
And I think Amy's right. I think Hank did see W.W. somewhere else in Gale's notebooks.
your google skills obviously outclass my don't really give a fuck skills on this. i was just presenting an alternate theory since people people were tepid at best on the gale theory.
The W.W. initials WERE in the notebook from Gale (hence the flashback from the last episode. Honestly, how do you guys not remember that? Even in the flash back Hank says "Who do you think W.W. is?")
I guess everyone is just trying to remember whether or not Gale ALSO gave Walt the BOOK that Hank found. Like I said, it doesn't really mater at this point, but I am curious as hell about what the writers intended.
And jackstraw, you do roid out in every thread, so don't act all surprised and superior when someone reacts.
