I kind of expect this to be shown as a flashback in a later episode. 7 mile hike to the border and crossing over had to have yielded at least some conversation or attempts on Jesse's part as well as some kind of bonding.

    Great ending to the episode.

Good call on the potential flashback scene Koryp.

I love how the show uses stand up comics for their tough guys.

It will be interesting to see how Walt is going to raise funds now that he is unemployed. Skylar royally fucked up.

I definitely don't think Skylar fucked up. She was protecting them to the fullest extent they she had to. Walt fucked up. He fucked up bad. He spent so much money on things that should never had been bought (water heater, charger, proceeding to blow the charger up etc). That last scene though is frightening.

If Walt had just taken the whole, "You're fired!" bit instead of letting his Heisenberg ego take over, he would have been fine.

Yes, Walt fucked up, but that doesn't mean Skyler didn't. The two actions aren't mutually exclusive. The family that fucks up together seems destined to either die or be on the run for the rest of their lives together.

I'm half considering leaving ATP early during Public Enemy's set next week to watch the season finale, then dash back over to catch Portishead. Probably won't but it'll actually be one of the hardest conflicts of the weekend for me.

I was in the process of setting up my network to stream off my computer so I could watch this on my phone at ATP this weekend, then I realized how absurd I was being. I'll need something to get me through the week after we get back.

Aren't there two more episodes left?

Dude tripping on the rug was some stupid shit... Great episode besides that.

I thought there was just one, but I'll be happy to have been wrong. And yeah, they foreshadowed the rug thing sufficiently earlier for it to not feel contrived to me.

Did Ted really deserve to go out any other way? I thought it was pretty funny.

Yeah, tripping before made it passable... It just felt like a cheap way out of only using that character to take away the money that walt would suddenly need. Although, now that I think about it... the slapstick was probably a much needed break from the heaviness of the last couple episodes.

Just checked wikipedia and it says two more episodes. Which is nice, because still seems like there is a lot of momentum going on...

Naw. That shit was supposed to be funny. It's the type of comedy that made season 1 so good. It wasn't bathtub full of human slush puppie falling through the ceiling funny, but I loved the move back to that type of writing.

Yeah, the show had become more dramatic as the series has progressed but when it first started I always thought Breaking Bad was a dark comedy.

It has been really intense...the accidental tripping death and the subsequent meeting with the "assassins" in the lawyer's office afterwards was a nice humor break.

The ending of this episode sent chills. Walt's maniacal laughter, Marie's voicemail, and the bass in the music... Shit! I wonder how many thugs Gus has to send out to Hank's and Walt's, and I wonder for how much longer Mike will be offline. And will Gus putting the green light on Walt put Jesse into action against Gus... At this point, it seems like Jesse needs to kill Gus or Walt needs to expose him. I doubt it will be the latter... Also, I wouldn't forget about Hector staring at Jesse. Something tells me that we haven't seen the last of the Cartel (despite Don Eladio and the capos being dead), and that there is trouble brewing for Jesse outside of Gus and Walt.

That picture is a great one, but I haven't seen anything close to this in the actual show. Possibly a set picture? Keep your friends close, enemies closer?

THIS... Plus at the end how the camera is pulled up and is shaking with the sound of static noise.
