    Exclamation tent fan reviews

Ok so i camped last year with no fan and i thought i was going to die, so this year i want to bring one or maybe 2 does anyone have any suggestions.. im really trying to enjoy the experience this year. and im not going to be in the tent alone so if you had a fan last year and roomed with more than 2 people input would be awesome!!!

    no, not fail. srs question.
At some point in time a man switches from "I'll have what he's having" to "I'll have what I'm having."

I had a fan and it helped a little bit, if you had more than one it would probably be good enough.. but ive been looking for portable solar panels you can get them for pretty cheap.. then you could plug in a laptop/ipod/normal sized fan

There's a thread called "Keeping the tent cool" that I'm too lazy to look for right now.

You could try sleeping on ice. We did that last year. just threw a towel over the ice and lay on it.

I suppose that has nothing to do with fans but something to keep cool

Fans: worthless. All it does is circulate the 95-degree air around you. No comfort whatsoever.

    You heard it here first.

Lies, its nice, but do not think that you are going to be able to sleep past 7 am the morning is just too uncomfortably hot, the fan is just a little help

I had a tent fan whatever colman thats everywhere.

I put it right above that little vent hole my tent has thats next to where i sleep. So I had nice air coming at my face at all times..

    It worked out well

both my buddy and I slept till 930-10 everyday....

but I think its all about the tent really...I picked mine out thats designed for the heat.

God Bless experienced campers who go camping not just for festivals, but i really am shocked you got sleeping til 930-10 i couldnt sleep cause of the only sleeping bag i 'had' was a subzero temp mummy sack from rei, yea it was hot, i have learned from my mistakes

Nice...mine's pretty similar, hope it works as well. Massive breeze vents on the side if you take the fly off.

I'm so used to trying to STAY warm while camping, I'm lost when it comes to keeping cool. We are going for canopy with dark fabric down the east side, big vents on the tent, and fans.

I bought what is basically a sleep sack made of a muslin type material. It's made to be a liner for sleeping bags in colder weather but is perfect on its own for hot weather use. Very light and breathable. It rolled up small too, you could hold it in the palm of your hand.

This has really turned into a helpful thread. While we're at helpful things to bring. I would recommend something to keep shade over yourselves. Maybe not even for the night to sleep but in the mornings hanging out in the Campground it's nice to have something to sit under. Our shade sucked last year. It kinda just flapped around cause we totally weren't prepared.

We had tent fans but no shade cover last year. The fans made it barely tolerable in the heat. This year, I will have a canopy cover and tent fans and I'm hoping I"ll be able to sleep till 9am.

Also, we used a sleeping bag but we unzipped it and slept on top the bag for cushion (lush green grass my ASS). Then we used light blankets on top when it was chilly at night.
