vnv nation is great
Your dreams are never silly; depend on them to guide you.
Put me down for Future Perfect. This is a great band, never seen them live though.
NON STOP VIOLENCE
it seems like no one really likes them their actually one of the main reasons why i'm driving 12 hours O_o...

Did they do a cover of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters? Or was that Apop too?
i saw vnv a few years ago.
high energy live, likes to have lots of crowd interaction.
i was hanging out drinking beer by the soundboard when ronan harris walked up, we talked for a few mins, i told him that "joy" was my fave song by them, and he said it was on the setlist... when they came on i was front row, and when they played joy he was like 'this one's for nathan, how many beer have you had tonight, nathan?" and then all of the people around me started yelling and slapping my back so i dont know what he said (plus i had about 4 dozen guinness in me).
apop covered "fade to black" for his live cd....
sooo funny about apop:
1. he just covered bend and break by keane
2. on his live cd, he opens with "hello san francisco!! we're apoptygma berzerk from norway... this one is ... <song title>" ..... on an old icon of coil bootleg cd i had, it started out IDENTICAL to that... "hello san francisco!! we're icon of coil from norway... this one is... <song title>" .. i actually cut and pasted the 2 intros into one mp3 and played it for all my dork ebm friends.
coachella shouldn't have gotten vnv, they should have gotten FRONT 242!@!@!
I think FuturePerfect is my favorite record as a whole, while Matter + Form has a few of my favorite songs.
VNV was a major deciding force for me to go to Coachella, they are awesome to see live and it will be really cool to see them in a Coachella like enviroment.
i'm so jealous! i would have criedi really like vnv nation
"joy" i have never listend to that song ..i love
Afterfire (Storm) beloved and electronut

i saw VNV quite a few times in the early 00s at Orlando shows.. Mark and Ronan are nice guys i say kudos to them for getting to play Coachella.
not really my scene or music anymore, but i'll check them out.
Empires is my favorite record...
REALLY looking forward to them this year, I just hope they're not conflicting with RHCP/Arcade Fire/Decemberists (however, this hope seems unlikely)
I saw them yesterday and they were absolutely incredible, with their 4 encores and what not. They played Saviour
They really got the crowd going.
i think their music is "ok". i respect the fact that they're really cool to their fans though. i met them a week or so ago at a club here. i was ordering drinks at the same time as ronan and he kept stopping to take pics with people and was being generaly friendly, even with the hyper fans. it seems like they play here every other month, so it's difficult to get excited about seeing them.
morning
Ahh... The old closet ploy, I do enjoy a good closet ploy
Not Praise the Fallen on the poll?![]()
They are one of the main reasons I'm coming to Coachella, too. I'm sorta apprehensive that they're going to be playing during the day, cuz that will negate the light show.
That, and I'll probably get heatstroke from dancing through their entire set.![]()
yeah i'm going to get to see them twice their comming here in July for their judgment tour...what do you all think of their new cd ..i personally enjoyed it

INitzer Ebb. They'll be playing again soon enough though.
VNV closing the Mojave tent! Yay, light show!![]()
[QUOTE=merznerve;167245]i saw front 242 two years ago and they were so fucking basey! they fucking rocked. i was hoping for nitzer ebb this year.
I was wishing for Nitzer Ebb this year too! I was lucky enough to see them last year in LA but I was really hoping they would play this year.
I met Bon Harris last nov and he mentioned how they had been asked to play a few times but they weren't familiar with this festival and declined! But after talking to him for a bit I was under the assumption that they were going to play this year but obviously not!
I agree we will see them soon enough.
You can always check out Fixmer/McCarthy (Doug's new band). They're really amazing. They're playing at Das Bunker in LA on June 1st. If you love Nitzer Ebb, I wouldn't miss it.
I felt so bad for them... we walked past them on our way to and back from the Sahara and there were like 2 rows of people there. VNV fans - they sounded pretty cool... RATM didn't deserve so many attendees.
2 out of 3 abominable snowmen prefer Coachella.
