Coachella's line up is starting to look like one of the strongest funny enough....but it also looks like Rosklide has the best line up so far....we still have APW to look forward to....

Kings of Leon and The Verve join Jay Z as headliners

Kings Of Leon and The Verve will join Jay-Z as headliners for Glastonbury Festival 2008, it has been announced.

Kings Of Leon will play the Pyramid Stage on Friday night while The Verve will close the festival on Sunday, organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed.

As previously reported, Jay-Z will play on the Saturday night and, as reported first on VF, will be bringing along some very famous guests.

Emily Eavis said: "We are over the moon about these acts playing, all of which bring something completely different to Glastonbury." (read more of her comments HERE)

Others acts set to play the world famous festival include Neil Diamond, Leonard Cohen, British Sea Power, Solomon Burke and The Rascals.

Glastonbury Festival takes place at Worthy Farm, Somerset, from 27-29 June. Register for tickets HERE.

This is a bizarre year for headliners. Seems like everyone's making strange choices.

If Glastonbury had announced Jack Johnson as a headliner, I would have laughed so hard as to lose control of my bowels.

You do realize how hard it is to get Glastonbury tickets? Or maybe you already have arrangements for that.

And people thing WE got hosed. Theres no way I would trade JJ, Portishead & Waters for Kings-o-Leon, a big name rapper, and the Verve. We already have the verve anyway. Coachella wins again!

I'm a HUGH Kings fan and I know how much England appreciates so I am pretty excited. Maybe not the best headliners for the states but I think the crowds in Europe will be nuts. Anyway, it's fucking Glastonbury. It's 3 times the size of Coachella

There is something to be said for atmosphere. I don’t mean to bag on anyone who’s going to glatso. Hopefully I’ll make it there eventually as well. It seems like the older festivals aren’t getting the HUGE headliners because those acts are trying out some of the newer fests. Foring the older fests to reach beyond their norm for big name headliners. (the roo & glatso)

I'm sure Glasto is Glasto no matter the headliners (just like Coachella). And I like KoL, saw them a couple times last year, but I can't believe they're headlining Friday. Jay-Z is Glastonbury's best headliner. Yikes. That's a statement I never thought I'd make.

Radiohead in London will be unbelievable. But if I was planning on a Eurotrip and festival, how could it not be Roskilde? With Radiohead, Chem Bros and MBV, that's more than enough. But I just saw Band of Horses got added, too, and now this festival has become downright unfair.

Kings of Leon are one of my favorite bands, and I would be completely geeked out if they played coachella again, If they headlined I wouldn't object at all. Kings of Leon are vastly underappreciated here in the states. The U.K. have it right with how much they love them there.

Kings Of Leon will be awesome and i think everyone should've known that The Verve would headline from the moment of the reunion last year. Great choice for two of headliners....Jay-Z though??? He'll be having his wellie boots diamond encrusted like Dame Shirley Bassey...
