Daaaaammmmmnnnn!
Srsly though it’s true. Music, much like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. That said, some acts/people need to be recognized for their talent/looks regardless of your level of attraction to them.
I wouldn't buy a Radiohead album or go to their shows but I get how influential and talented they are.

Metallica, I can't fucking stand them. Especially that douche Lars.
saw MGMT at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco and they were hot hot hot.
They have a really glam sound like early Bowie, plus the opener was Yeasayer....another awesome band. Give 'em another try.....if you like
Geez, after reading most of the posts here, this thread should be re-titled as "Let's see how many people you offend with your dislikes in music."
I know I'm going to get a lot of crap for this, but I can't stand Radiohead. The music is alright, it's just that Thom Yorke's voice makes me want slit my wrists and insert sleeping pills into the gaping wounds. It's so frickin' depressing. Anyone out there agree?
On a similar note...Pink Floyd.

radiohead and led zepplin.
seriously, they don't do anything for me.
I'm going to put your sidekick in my mojito.
Speaking as a former self-professed hater of Radiohead, it's not the bands music... It's their obnoxious fanboys/fangirls... >>;;;
Foo Fighters & Nirvana (especially acoustic)
U2
Cafe Tacuba
Beastie boys
J5
Panic at the disco
Black Eyed Peas
RHCP
Jack Johnson (and his God forsaken fans)
and Beck.
wow, I feel better now.
"are you being facetious?"
"Facetious! That's my baby's name!"
Nobody raves about Panic at the Disco except for 14-17 year old boys and girls...
Sometimes I wish I had never discovered their demo before the video and the hype took hold... Ugh.

any 80's bands that are still around today really grind my gears. they are awful and stay broken up.
I've said it before, but Bob Dylan (singer) is fuckin' awful, while Bob Dylan (songwriter) is a genius.
I'm an equal opportunity kinda guy Ron, I think the same for Neil Young - just can't stand his whining.
Also, in no order of suckiness, I don't get the love for:
No Doubt (and by association, Gwen Stefani)
Animal Collective (but I love love love Panda Bear)
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Wilco (I own A Ghost is Born and YHF and can't stand either one)
Kanye West
The Offspring
Grateful Dead (and any current band that wishes it were the Dead)
Ben Harper
I'm sleepy, that'll do for now...
A teenage dream, so hard to beat...
animal collective
bonde do role
black kids
bat for lashes

jay reatard

kraftwerk

most of these bands seem to purposefully go for a weird/trendy/overtly abstract/hipster indie style, instead of making music for the sake of music, without worrying about fitting in with all the scenesters. the one band on this list that i honestly have given over 5 chances to is madness. prior to seeing them on the bill for coachella, i had never heard about them. i listened to every song on their myspace countless times, but what the fuck. not trying to be rude, but you guys actually like ska?
secondly, i'm sure i would like some of these bands if i saw them live, because seeing hot chip, justice, and arcade fire last year really changed my view of them. i thought hot chip was pretty overrated and just made boring analog blips and beeps, but they fucking rocked last coachella and their albums are pretty incredible. and as far as ryan adams goes, hes simply incredible. he's one of my favorite artists because he seems distant from the whole music culture - he's just in it to make music for himself and whoever wants to listen. lyrics are sincere, he plays most of the instruments himself on many of his albums, and his country and folk roots are genuine and not generic like many indie bands trying to go for the "country" sound
DAFT PUNK
I saw them live and it was good but, who listens to that when they are all alone? Seriously, one more time is horrible!
Jack Johnson.
Metallica
The Hold Steady
My Morning Jacket
Cafe Tacuba
Gogol Bordello
Interpol
Justice
LCD Soundsystem
