And MAN it was tons of fun. Seattle people were all dancing - dancing! I hadn't seen everyone grooving like that since The Go! Team came around.
He didn't just play tracks from the CD, he tore it apart and remixed it different ways, with different tracks, plenty of new stuff but tons of recognizable snips of music... ah it was good.
Some of the memorable parts were:
Pieces from Daft Punk tracks (three different ones! Technologic, Digital Love, Around the World)
Queen - We will rock you
Nirvana - Lithium
Depeche Mode - Enjoy the silence
Ace of Base - The sign
LCD Soundsystem/Elton John/Neutral Milk Hotel (from Night Ripper)
Some Michael Jackson track I couldn't remember the name of
And a whole cr*pload of fun stuff I couldn't even tell what they were but sounded great. He finished with another Nirvana track after asking if we wanted a dance track or a depressing track to finish, to which he said 'ah f$ck it I'll just play both'.
The dude was grooving all through, he stage dove, he invited people to join him on stage -- there were around 20 random people dancing with him and it was just a big party. Security went up there but they left the first people that had made it, so it was all goodness.
Definitely go check him out in Coachella if you're into electro/dance.
Anybody else remember more tracks from the show?
