The Lindsay/Methadone episode is shockingly good, even by AD standards. Wow. My pals and I had to stop watching for a bit to recover.

I'll never get tired of Lucille's reaction to Gene Parmesan.

Yeah, they finished off their set but left so much unresolved and did so with little ado. It doesn't work to count Michael - George Michael as the major relationship; the show just doesn't work that way.

Why are they doing a movie?

Isn't Michael the central character? Would make sense to have his relationship with George Michael be the major relationship.

I loved this season. The voting in the first episode made me crack up - it was so silly, but executed so well. I thought Maria Bamford was a great casting choice. John Beard was the highlight for me - of course, this is my Southern California bias.

Michael may be the most significant character of the show but AD is so much an ensemble show that I would say the show doesn't have a "central character", it doesn't have that kind of focus.

The rotating central character approach of season 4 doesn't feel all that weird because they are all such important people. Michael-George Michael is an important relationship but so is Michael-Lucille, Michael-GOB, Michael-George Sr. along with Lindsay-Tobias, Maeby-George Michael, Lucille-George Sr., Lucille-Buster, etc. My fault is not in what they chose to highlight (read that way because otherwise the ending is entirely empty) but that they chose to highlight anything at all. The final episode of season 3 had everyone on the Queen Mary with important story-lines for each character.

Maeby's episode was terrific. I love how she can't graduate high school, but was able magic up three jobs, whore out her mother, and get a lifetime achievement award at age 23.

    That doesn't make it dark.

And actually Maeby is now a register sex offender because of that. Tobias is also a registered sex offender but that is more because he doesn't pay attention to how he sounds. And George Michael has lost at least a couple friends (and fathered a child). And Ann Veal has a kid, too.

Going from "the final countdown" to "the sound of silence" is dark. This season is humanizing the bluth family in LA setting. It feels like like a "LA Story" mini series. Most people are hating or disregarding this season, it's fucking amazing to me.

An episode of Tobias is entirely too much Tobias for me. Otherwise, I'm really pleased with the season overall.

I'm super excited. My dad is fed up with our internet service and is planning on joining a new company. They offer a plan that, even out here in the middle of nowhere, should be able to stream Netflix. Well-timed, father, well-timed.

We're up to episode 9 (I felt guilty for spending so much time watching the 3rd season on Saturday & haven't wanted to binge too much since) and I think the Tobias episodes have been the best. Maybe it's because he was relatively under-utilized in the first 3 seasons that watching him take center stage has provided for a real sense of discovery about his character.

GOB's episode was pretty great, too, and I've got "Getaway" stuck in my head.

I've got 4 episodes left. I think it's on par with season 3, quality-wise. Still the funniest thing I've seen in a while. Arrested has always rewarded repeat viewings, and that's probably even truer for this seaon, and all the interweaved storylines.

I hadn't realized until today that this new Season has been getting some bad reviews. I can understand not loving, but panning it so harshly seems like a knee-jerk reaction. Did they only watch the first two-episodes or something? I think the show progressively gets better and better and as the storylines interweave and the connections between events become more clear, the jokes from earlier on become a lot funnier. I think this will definitely benefit from multiple viewings and it is more than worth it.

Also, Netflix' CEO is open to another season of Arrested Development, according to this. He essentially shruggs off the bad reviews and it appears as is the vast majority of viewers are quite happy with Season 4.

So I've watched the first four episodes now and honestly I just can't really get into them. I admit I never really was that big on the original three seasons to begin with so there is that. Is it really worth it for someone like me who wasn't the biggest fan to begin with and not into it so far to continue watching it or is the rest of the season just more of the same?

No, it starts to get better as you get caught up on everyone's stories and you see how they all interweave.

Just finished. I loved the entire season and will definitely rewatch it in a couple of weeks or so. Very wtf ending though. It didn't really bring any "closure." To the series... so I really hope that movie and/ or 5th season happen.

The ending was amazing. It showed that even the most innocent can be corrupted by the worst family ever. The Bluths are the all American 2000s family. It was awesome that it didn't end with a lie but a swift punch in the face.

I love this ending and this show.
