I can sense somewhere right now I'm being prayed for
Seems like I always arrive on the same shore
From where my sail set maybe with one less lady than my vessel left with
    Is that a threat?
Well I've stayed scarce this last year, yes
    But be assured in unrest
    I'm unavoidable like death
this Christmas is this twisted? Why be upset
I never said I didn't have syphilis Miss Listless
Hard like the bricks I pound my fists with
I mean she's hard like the bricks that I pound with my fists

Monster Massive is awful. It is a bunch of underage kids trying to get the adults to get them booze and drugs... The worst kind of overcrowding and bad sound systems. It's just a cash grab.

and they always have the worst headliners. i swear, how many times can they book felix da housecat?! i have never had the desire to go. i've been to nocturnal and EDC, but i've also seen quality dnb such as adam F, andy C and dj marky at those shows =P

and why do people think that drug users will stop using drugs by reading a blitz of stearn message board posts? it's sad that things like this happen, but i doubt anyone reads these kinds of posts and goes "hey, maybe i SHOULD stop rolling!"

Raves are not essentially negative; when combined with an environment of strange pills and insalubrious conditions, however, the outcomes can become dismal. Ignoring that a large percentage of people use these "illegal" drugs suggests that the current policy is not congruent to the demands of the population. Research suggests that the occasional recreational use of pure, non-adulterated ecstasy, has about the same implications to one's health as alcohol, and there are many noted benefits in addition.

The events are filled to maximum capacity and the heat generated by the dancing bodies alone raises the mercury to near desert temperatures. In terms of first aid, there is Hurricane Katrine-like emergency response provided by the organizations, inclusive of the LAPD, security staff, and event managers. Dr. Peter Cohen of the University of Amsterdam suggests that there should be adequate medical staffing to serve the needs of the event attendees in the case of emergency. Ideas include restricting the amount of attendees, free water, improving air quality with AC/fans, a ration of 740:1 for attendees to emergency response personnel and a quiet area free of smoke. Proper coordination and response time are invaluable when considering medical emergencies. Unfortunately, this is not taking place at the massive events being held in LA'

wow, that's ironic. you quote my post asking why people think blitz message board posts are going to stop someone from rolling, and you respond with a blitz message board post.

i go to raves. i've met stupid ravers. i've met smart ravers. i've seen people OD, hell, at the turn of the century i'm sure i took too much myself.

i am perfectly aware that people use drugs and think it's stupid that our government ignores it. it was like one day back in the early 20th century 300,000,000 pot smokers magically vanished. i too think they should be regulated, but alcohol is regulated and you still see people getting sick off that. i bet you'll find a lot of people on this board have the same opinion if you read their posts instead of waiting for your turn to post these types of standard responses.

point is, people are stupid, uneducated or just don't care. this will continue to happen. if you want to fight for better security at raves to prevent people from dying as a result of their stupidity, work with the los angeles government, work with the promoters directly, get in contact with dancesafe.org, propose a plan, write letters, DO SOMETHING rather than repeating yourself to a bunch of people on a music festival message board that can't really do anything to change the laws. you're just going to continue to get angry at hilarious posts from pot otherwise.

um...i highly highly doubt this is true. if there were 10 dead bodies found in the la sports arena theres NO WAY that wouldnt be all over the news.

i was at both of those parties, and yeah they are dirty and crowded and bad shit goes down, people od, but there is no way it would go unpublicized if there had been even more than one death.
