Default saw the U2 3D movie

Saw the U2 3d movie, it was pretty sweet. It's shot from a few concerts, primarily in Latin America and the crowds are extremely into it. Part of the show is kind of like Massive Attack's last tour where (only instead of statistics of Iraq deaths, $ spent Iraq, # of bombings inside Iraq etc..) the UN Declaration of human rights are spelled out behind the band. They also do Miss Sarajevo from the Passengers stuff. At parts the hands from the crowd slightly blocks your view like you were at the show. Anyways, thought it was pretty good

Sounds like a pretty fun idea. Does anybody have the "setlist" from the movie? I'm not a big U2 fan (but I like them) but this sounds like it could be worth seeing.

U2 is an epic band! Haven't seen them in years, but an all time favorite of mine. I am looking forward to seeing this 3D flick! If you like U2 and you want some U2 live action sounds, there is a great band in Orange/L.A. county call Joshua Tree, they are a U2 tribute band, they sound amazing, they dress and portray the parts of the band, and I'm tellin' you, if you had a couple drinks and are at the back of the venue you'd swear you were seeing U2 up close and personal at a friggin' club. Great band, their web site is http://www.u2jt.com
check 'em out! U2 at Coachella may never happen, these guys are the next best thing. (They are playing in Long Beach this month, and in Vegas St. Patty's)
    Rock on!

Actually for Imax it cost more. i went to the 5 o clock Sunday at the Bridge and it was 13.25. The later screening was 16.25. If you like U2 a little, totally worth it. It starts going into some theaters non-Imax Friday the 15th. Go for the HUGE Imax way of experiencing it. If you hate U2 for whatever reason, seeing innovative film making might be your only way of getting a thrill; but i just don't get not liking U2 (no matter how annoyed you get by 8 some odd Courics).

I enjoyed Rolling Stones in IMAX years ago. U2 is too political for me. I like music.

Why? Do they discuss homeland security, the mortgage crisis and universal healthcare during shows ? With an encore of immigration reform ?

I'm like old school, or maybe just old :P, mainly diggin' like War, Unforgetable Fire, through like Joshua Tree and then eventually Actung Baby won me over too. The show is rock'n with a bit from different periods of teh U2, nothing objectionable politically I don't think unless like against human rights, you should check it out. I love the Rolling Stones but avoided seeing them for fear their like replaced by animatronic robots by now

    I think U2 is alright.
Though, I'm not a huge fan.
All the songs I like could prolly fit on one 80 minute CD-R that spans their whole career.

I am a huge fan...so I am partial (I have seen U2 about 20 times over the past 24 years). But I felt they did a really good job capturing the electricity that is felt being at a U2 show. My 12 & 7 year-old boys (who are both big music fans) were spellbound.
