Anyone live in/around Long Beach?

Hey, just curious, does anyone here live in or around the area of Long Beach?

I am asking because one of my buddies who may be comming to Coachella with me, has been in the works of booking a tattoo apointment with a guy who did a bunch of Bradley Nowell's tattoo's. Anyways, this tattoo place is in Long Beach, and all the people who are potentially driving down with me are all strapped for cash.
So, to make a long story short, I was wondering if anyone in the Long Beach area would be willing to take in 4-5 of us for 3-5 nights. As you can tell, plans are still in the process, so that is why I am making this thread. Of course, we will pay you for your time and any food we may consume. And also, even if you can only have us for one or two nights, thats cool too. The more money we can save, the better.

Perhaps you don't understand how strapped we are... my buddy is selling his long board and one of his guitars in order to do this trip. ANY money saved will help.

i was just joking with ya ... i know my sis has a house in palm springs, and receita sp (?) and a house north of san luis obispo but i am not sure about around long beach .. i will ask her ... ron****

You could probably find quite a few tattoo artists at Coachella.
My friend's best friend will be there this year.
And if you find a good artist, he'll probably do it in the campgrounds.

My friend is getting a half sleeve done. And, as I said, he has been talking with this tattoo artist for the last few months. They have the design ready to go and everything. He just needs to get down there.
They estimate the tattoo taking atleast 2 sessions and probably around 9 hours of work.
I don't think he is going to be able to get that done at Coachella.

Hey Rage, you might try a hostel. I found one in Hermosa Beach for about $25 a night and that is pretty close to Long Beach. Here is a link but there are plenty of other websites where you can book your bed/crawlspace haha? Hostels.com

i used to live in hermosa...that hostel is in the middle of the bar district, right on the beach. good if you plan to party a lot for sure. its about a 30 min drive to long beach from there.

I forgot to mention that they provide lockers.

I actually stayed at one in Fullerton a long time ago and it wasn't too bad. Just bring ear plugs if you want to sleep.

A good tattoo artist wouldn't work on you in a campground. A smart person wouldn't get a tattoo in a campground. There are some serious health issues involved there. Don't be stupid.
