I'll take that exchange as a request to play Spylab, and as such I will play some Spylab this week.

true. I have a hard time myself buying loads.. I just wish there was more love here for him. But at least it's true love

    That would be awesome!

And yes, it is. Sounds similar to Spylab in terms of musical sound, although the female vocals (which are utilized in just about every song with Cinephile) are somewhat different. I downloaded it from iTunes, but I believe it is the iTunes plus (ie: DRM free). I can send that off to you tomorrow if you would like.

I think it's kind of embarrassing that I haven't heard of most of the artists in that last exchange between jazzz and Rocke...

But, with all this talk of vinyl, I really wish the radio station's library here had better vinyl selection for RPM in general... It's like ONE shelf whereas Rock and shit have like 22 shelves... Ridiculous.

I recommend Facade (one of my favorite songs ever), Kabelski, Music Box, or Final Request. Or all of them.

Nah, don't sweat it. Seriously, I know many people into this type of music and they have never heard of Guidance, let alone the artists being mentioned. Jazz is literally the first person I think I have ever come into contact with that knew of Guidance on his own. I have had to browbeat people to check out that label.

Sounds good. I'll zip it and host it on one of the upload sites.

And I am golden on the Nuspirit. I have just about every Guidance album I need on the computer. Vinyl is a different story!

Wait, jazzz, aren't you a girl?

Also, Rocke, do you have a list of all the artists on the Guidance label? I might see about last.fm-ing the artists to see if something shows up.

You got it, Orbit. I had been sending out the Hitori album via Mega to a couple of people, but I can't for the life of me find the link anymore. I would have sent that off to you had I thought of it.

You can check out their website for a listing of their albums/artists.

Off the top of my head, the ones you should check out are:

Caia (a Japanese produce and Andy Cato from Groove Armada. PHENOMENAL! The Magic Dragon might be my favorite CD ever)
    Spylab
    The Dining Rooms
    Bent
    Flunk
    Troublemakers
Nuspirit Helsinki (not really in line with your show's format, but great nevertheless)
    Alpinestars

Also, make sure to check out the Hi Fidelity Lounge series.

I wish. I get too itchy and shave after 4 days. I'm about as clean cut as they come. If only I could grow facial hair like Passive.

I think that it's human nature to assume that everyone on the internet is a hot girl. But it just sets us up for disappointment, because we find out that we are all men with beards.

    If your show isn't:

    Rock
    Indie Rock
    Roots/Reggae
    World

then KZSC doesn't give a shit about you

Yeah, that's pretty much true (except World, the number of World shows has gone down, Trick), but fuck it... I'm going to be the electronic music director next year, so I'm going to try to cajole the distributors to send more vinyl.

Awesome. It's nice to know you're gonna have a big role at the station since it seems like you actually care about music which is more than I can say about the people who were running it when I was there. There were like fifteen shows that basically copied Pitchfork's "Best New Music" straight onto their playlists.

the idea of a chill area at Coachella is excellent. I would love to see it.

How about bringing back the dome, but only for downtempo/chill music.

starting at sunset, going past the main headliners. Something to veg out to as everyone walks to the parking lot
Then I will hold you down and spit her percolations all over you until you're as greasy as the day she regrets pushing your big fat ass out her big fat cunt.

Thanks, dude. Have you seen the programming for this quarter? It's pretty diverse. I think we have too many God shows, though.

I'm not sure if you'd classify them as IDM (though what can't be?) but I would highly suggest both Ian Pooley's - Since Then and The Field's - From Here We Go Sublime.
