I was talking about Lusine. Tycho's production is pretty damn good, but I wouldn't call him a master.

Yeah I feel you...I don't think anything will ever truly be a BoC sunset without BoC.

I know I have suggested him on here before, but has anyone checked out Bola yet? I have gotten back into him again recently and have been killing this song a lot.

I swear, I heard this waiting in line at Space Mountain a few years ago. They used to play some really cool futuristic electronic like this (maybe they still do?).

If you need some other Bola suggestions, here you go:

    Super Collider.

Then move into old label mate Si Begg.

I need to spend more time in here as my tastes are starting to move me into this direction.

Has Of Porcelain and A Southern Summer's Breeze already been discussed in here?

Someone posted it in a glitch mob thread yesterday and I can't fucking stop listening to it. it's helping me travel to good places mentally

That would be fantastic. I want to lay out in the grass, close my eyes, and let this just envelope me.

I'd describe new Thievery as "meh". They kind of have lost me over the last few years. I saw them live at the Bowl last year and the show really didn't do a whole lot for me.

hrm, i was at that show and liked it a lot! It was much more of a live "world music" ensemble show than a lot of what you hear on their records though

I saw them in 06 and absolutely loved it. This show is at a small 1500 cap venue that isnt selling well, so I'm hoping the vibe is awesome.

Thievery (imo) kind of gets boring quickly after repeated listens. That's why I've yet to check out Radio Retaliation. But they've always seemed more of a live experience, so I have faith this will be cool.

I can definitely agree with that world music comment. But I think it makes sense then that the show didn't do much for me since world music doesn't interest me much.

I bet this has been posted somewhere in here, but i was wondering if anyone got their hands on it yet:

Boards of Canada Recreated by Bibio

Yesterday’s arrival of the immaculately designed and curated Warp 20 Box Set was indicative of the way I’ve been buying music as of late. Less often, but driven by nostalgia, I’ve been fortunate enough to get my hands on the type of things that I’d never be able to afford years ago. Gifts to myself certainly, but an archive like this set — from a label that not only cemented my love of electronic music but of contemporary graphic design as well — means much more given the interactivity used to create it. Warp set up a site asking fans to rate their favorite tracks and included a disk of those highest rated tracks. Very cool. And very Warp.

This isn’t a review. Truth is, you have to be a little Warped to drop coin on box sets of any kind, but for 20-year Warp fans, I cannot speak more highly of this beautiful and beautifully thought out piece of music/art. It’ll hit you right in that same sweet spot that your favorite songs did so long ago.

Feeling nostalgic, I was looking for the perfect track to post from the 5 CDs and 5 10″ slabs of vinyl in the set. What I landed upon is this gorgeous version of “Kaini Industries” from Boards of Canada’s Music Has the Right to Children recreated by their pal Bibio, one of Warp’s newest signings. It’s that short intro track the precedes “Bocuma” and “Roygbiv,” really a tryptic of songs that I have always considered a single movement. Can’t get any more appropriate for this blog to have one of my oldest, all-time favorite Warp artists redone by one the label’s brightest new signings. Enjoy.
    track is here:

Also the bowl is a bit too big for a good Thievery show. I can imagine a venue that big would suck the energy out of the whole performance.

ya, Radio Retaliation does sound like world music. hence, in my opinion, it is their weakest work.

thievery are at their best when they play an extended late-night set, at a small club, with their full lineup of singers.

    Here's the P4K article:

While he's put out lots of material in the form of EPs, collaborations, remix records, and mixes in recent years, the last full-fledged album by Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet was 2005's Everything Ecstatic. And on January 26, we'll finally get the official follow-up in the form of a new nine-track LP called There Is Love in You courtesy of Domino.

The album is set to include new single "Love Cry", which comes out on 12" vinyl on December 8. You can listen to the mesmerizing nine-minute track on Four Tet's MySpace right now.

There Is Love in You tracklist is below:

    There Is Love in You:

    01 Angel Echoes
    02 Love Cry
    03 Circling
    04 Pablo's Heart
    05 Sing
    06 This Unfolds
    07 Reversing
    08 Plastic People
09 She Just Likes to Fight
    http://pitchfork.com/news/37005-four...ounces-new-lp/

The new song isn't half bad, but not really spectacular either.

When I saw Autechre perform live, the venue was completely dark. The only lights on within the entire venue were coming from behind the bars and from the flashlights of the bouncers. It sure made for an interesting and weird experience, kind of like Autechre

Anybody here see Squarepusher live before? I saw him at the now-defunct Hollywood Athletic Club 6 years ago and it was completely insane, probably the loudest show I have ever been to. Him rockin' out on the bass is nuts

Also, Luke Vibert opened up and that was great too

My only real opportunity to see him was in either '99 or '00, but my girlfriend at the time got sick and we didn't end up going
