Even weirder...according to Wikipedia, the record company designed it, and Klaus Whatizname was "shocked". Way to go RCA...I wonder if they did any filthy covers for John Denver around the same time.

Yeah, Primus covers rule except for The Brown Album.

It's called "Pork Soda". There's a pig head in carbonated water. What's not to understand?

You don't understand the Beatles butcher cover? It was their not so subtle way of accusing Capitol of "butchering" their records, which were all released differently in the states. The bible belt had a shit-fit about it though, and they were recalled and stripped (in some cases covered over) and it came out as "Yesterday and Today." My boss actually worked for Capitol then and was forced to strip thousands of them, unfortunately she didn't have the foresight to pocket several of them, which are now worth a shit ton.

"Yes, I am indeed beautiful! Sometimes I sit and wonder, in my artless Japanese way, why it is that I am so much more attractive than anybody else in the whole world. Can this be vanity? No! Nature is lovely and rejoices in her loveliness. I am a child of Nature, and take after my mother."

    - WOW !

I thought the Janes Addiction response, with the First Amendment on it, to their Ritual album not being carried by Wal Mart and other stores was interesting

Pretty racey old school brass band cover

This is pretty bad, whoever this band is...

i wonder if people actually listen to this band...

Nashville Pussy are actually pretty popular as a touring band. I've never met anyone that actually bought an album though.

EDIT- That album was actually nominated for a Grammy for best Metal performance.

The Herb Alpert cover is ultra famous, and has been parodied often

Disclaimer: I, the original poster, in no way support or condone suicide. In my opinion, this is possibly the WORST album cover ever. If you so desire, please follow the link to form your own opinion.

Dawn of the Black Hearts is a bootleg album by Norwegian black metal band Mayhem. It is infamous for bearing a real photo of late vocalist Dead's corpse after his suicide with a shotgun and a knife.
