Thread: Obama for President

    Thumbs up Obama for President

This is the time to wake up and discard our political apathy. Our country is headed in a downward direction after decades of political mismanagement, elitism, and misrepresentation. People acting together can make change; we have seen this happen across the course of history. Barack Obama has a real vision for change. Obama has prescriptions to many of our social and political problems that will require a great deal of political action from communties across the country. Voting for any other candidate is the equivalent of hedging a bet on the status quo. And let us all be honest with ourselves: the status quo is not serving our interests as members of the "middle class" and it has not for some time. Please, take the time to visit this website, www.barackobama.com and review the materials. Feel free to look at outside sources, and criticisms as well. Get the whole picture, and ask yourself: "What do I, as an American want for my future? For my children?" Within our political system, despite the many reasons for skepticism, we are the catalysts for change. Take a minute away from your myspace or facebook, and inform youself. Let us start this engine of change together.

Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their party. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. Cozy lummox gives smart squid who asks for job pen. Flummoxed by job, kvetching W. zaps Iraq. Jackdaws love my big sphinx of quartz. A wizard’s job is to vex chumps quickly in fog.

I hope Obama keeps picking up steam after that (surprisingly) large win in SC and Kennedy endorsements.

Would you like to elaborate? Or better yet, could "HE" please elaborate. Everybody is pushing for change, but no one is saying what.

    I want change!!!!

    Is that powerful or what?!?!

Maybe that's part of the joke.

Oh yeah, you know he's just gonna be called an affirmative action president if he wins, right?

Maybe that's part of the joke.

His goals and agenda are as clear as any other candidate's.

Plus, given what we have now, change seems like a pretty good idea.

WHAT? I think you might be the only one calling him that, considering anyone can vote for who they want.

Do you really not see the differences in policy between him and Hillary and Edwards? Have you watched the debates? There are several distinct differences in healthcare plans, war withdrawal and economy. Would you like me to share them with you?

Obama is becoming a fucking rockstar. Every news and radio station here wont shut up about him coming to visit tomorrow morning. Its a good thing though like Tomaz stated earlier in another thread about the parallels of fanaticism between Regan and Obama.

It's crazy. Everyone was waiting for him to stumble but his popularity did nothing but rise along the way. He appears to be bulletproof as far as his past goes as well. How many times are they going to fire the drug use bullet and watch the bullet drop before it even scaves him.

The flat out inspires me. Instills legitimacy back into government and politics and makes me think this country can be great again. he's also reasonable, proven to be able to work with both sides of the aisle and i'll be damned if he ain't gonna win this thing!

I don't think I have EVER been inspired by a politician in my life. This guy is truely inspiring.
