    Default Little Wild - Victories

As many of you know I am in a band and we have been working on our debut album. It has been a long time coming, but the record is officially being released this Tuesday, November 26th. The band is very excited to get this record out and we are very proud of it.

I value you the thoughts and opinions (perhaps, against my better judgement) of the people on this forum, so I would love to hear what you guys think of the record. You guys can download and listen to record simply by clicking here.

The band has also had some pretty good press recently and, if you are interested you can read some of it here, here, here, and here.

This coming spring we will be doing a west coast tour and will be hitting up Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, L.A., Scottsdale, Albuquerque, Dallas, and Austin for SXSW. Dates/ venues coming soon. It would be great to see you guys at some of those dates.

Thanks for the support over the years and I hope you guys enjoy the album!

Also try to play the Crescent Ballroom.

Where is the Crescent Ballroom? Also, how big is it? We will be touring with another no name band, so they are booking for venues of around 100-150 people.

I will let you know if we need a place to crash though! That might be super helpful.

The album will be going up to stream from bandcamp in a day or two.

I love you Josh, but you make consistently such horrible fucking decisions as a band it's just mind-blowing. Why don't you have a YouTube channel with a selection of your songs as well as whatever hopefully not-too-shitty clips you have from your shows up there?

Is bandcamp not used regularly? This is a serious question. Maybe its just because of my work with the magazine I work with and being a part of a local scene but in my experience, since myspace went the way of the dinosaur, bandcamp is now the most common way to share music. Nobody I have contact with shares their music via youtube.

Bandcamp works just fine on phones. You open the brewer, press "play" and the whole album plays. It is that simple.

... no, Bandcamp is not used regularly. Does Bandcamp have a billion users? Facebook and Youtube do. When doing research on the Coachella lineup, where do we all go to research the bands we haven't heard of? Not fucking bandcamp.

In phoenix. 500 ppl. You could also try for Trunk Space, also downtown. Or Yucca Tap Room, in Tempe. My mind is blanking on small music places in Scottsdale.

Josh, where in SF are you playing? Cus you should play Hemlock Tavern. Or Bottom of the Hill. I will not comply with any mandatory-not-super attire shenanigans, FYI.

Why not just throw something on youtube, soundcloud AND bandcamp? Some people won't bother with certain formats so may as well cover all your bases.

youtube videos can be posted on facebook, here, just about anywhere, and viewed without having to click through to another site. bandcamp doesn't do that. bandcamp is good for streaming full albums and for selling downloads. it's a good thing to have but shouldn't be your first investment when creating an online presence.

If you're willing to swing a bit wider than SF, there's also the Starry Plough in Berkeley. It's a cool bar with a performance space that draws a solid crowd every time I've been.

In LA, a few spots to check on: Pehrspace, The Redwood Lounge. Pehrspace is an artspace that does cool sets and is near Echo Park, so you get the hipsters. Redwood is in downtown LA, it's a bar with a cool little stage that gets some impressive sets. I've seen Mike Watt there a few times.

I was just going to suggest that you should try to swing an East Bay date as well. I've seen bballr's band play there and at Hemlock, both shows were great.

Josh, do you have any specifics for your SXSW date? Not sure how far in advance they assign venues, set times, etc.

That would be really awesome, Tommy. Thanks for the offer! I will get back at you when we have exact dates. Much appreciated!

Thanks for the suggestions. The blog based out of LA that is bringing us to SXSW is currently booking our tour dates in between LA and Austin. Not sure what venue they are talking to in Scottsdale.

Thanks for these suggestions, Cara. The West Coast dates leading up to LA (Seattle, Portland, SF) will be booked ourselves, so these are really helpful. This also reminds me... I will need to contact Andrew to see if the Tet Holiday would be available for an SF show in April.

Thanks for these as well, Bryan. Question: Do you think it would be worth it to play SF and Berkley? Time isn't really an issue here. I am just wondering if it would be a good idea or not.

Our set at SXSW will be March, 13th at The Jackalope. We are playing an "unofficial" showcase, meaning it is a SXSW show in a SXSW venue, but it is a FREE show where no badges/ wristband will be required to enter. The show will also have free beer. All day. It starts at noon and ends at 6pm. Not sure what time we will be playing though.

Thanks for all the support guys! Anyone have a chance to listen to the album yet?

My guess is that there are going to be different crowds. BART doesn't run late between the East Bay and San Francisco, so I can't imagine you'd have much overlap between the two sets. If you hit up Andrew, he'd probably be more interested in playing Berkeley, but they might like to play both. He and/or I could also put you in contact with our good friends in the band Riot Professor, who are gearing up right now to play shows again and play with Tet quite a bit. The added bonus there is you'd have a ready-made fan-base willing to come out to see both of them and willing to hear you guys as well.

Awesome. A local band with draw is exactly what we are looking for in each city. I just sent a message to Andrew on FB. Here is hoping we can work something out!

P.S. Album is now available to stream on our label's bandcamp page.

It will be available in full on youtube either later tonight or tomorrow. I appreciate the input, Randy. I honestly do. I hadn't realized we had so little youtube presence, and your comments gave me the push to make that change.
