I think it has come down to possibly the toughest decision in my life:
Coachella or Senior Prom?

The 2nd day of Coachella, my most favorable day, has unfortunately fell on the same day as my senior prom.
These two days happen 3 days after my 18th birthday.

The rumor is that her Prom has the MBV reunion, they decieded that Maxine's Prom was the best venue for said reunion. Sadly scalpers are already infiltrating the school as we speak.

well, it depends. if you have a boyfriend/girlfriend, you might not want to leave them behind.

however, once you go to college, you'll forget about everything that happened in high school, including prom(s).

i doubt you'll forget seeing portishead and kraftwerk play back to back.

except now, I don't know how to delete this.

Here's the deal.

1. Someone mentioned it before but in 6 months when your in college you'll realize everything you did in high school is more or less meaningless.

2. As mentioned before the music at Coachella will be waaaaayyyyy better.

3.(very important) If you're worried about not getting laid on prom night no worries. There will be thousands more, better looking potential hook-ups at Coachella. Your chances only go up if you're camping onsite as well.

Just some things to consider.

Another option would be going on to Coach. on Friday, Sunday or both and still making it to your prom on Sat.

Either way I'm sure you'll have a good time. Good luck making your decision.

IF you have a lot of close friends at your school, and they will all be going to the prom, i say go. if you are they type that has hung out with this same group of people for many years...this will be one of your last opportunities to see them all and party together. everything changes after high school. if you have enjoyed your high school experience thus far, don't miss your prom. you only have one, and there will be many concerts, and more coachellas in your future.

however, if you are unhappy in high school, or more independent and are not close to your classmates, by all means go to coachella.

for my prom my girlfriend at the time and a few of my friends got sushi and drove around

it wasn't all that big of a deal
