It only gets better from there guys. I am going to re watch it this summer after lost finishes up.

David Simon's new show should also be coming out around then, it is about musicians in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. I have my doubts, because part of what The Wire so fascinating is that he spent most his life in Baltimore following the streets, same with Ed Burns. They just don't have the same connection to New Orleans, but I still can't wait.

Season 3 is my second favorite, because it's suspenseful and action packed. Season 4 was heavier with social commentary, but still just as entertaining.

Agreed. It's just a preference, the show had a brilliant cast and was far more daring with it's commentary than anything else. It wasn't a caracature like The Sheild or the Soprano's, there was an element of realism that set it apart from most anything else.

Season 4 is my favorite as well, with 3 a close second. I wonder though if some of that has to do with the way they were originally aired. There was about a year And a half between the seasons, and maybe just the fact that I had to wait so long made it better in my mind.

Did anyone notice that in last nights episode at the homeless camp, the guy with the goatee drinking was Ziggy's friend from season 2 that helped steal the cars? Interesting that he is now a bum.
    Totally saw that.

That's a good point, and I thought that at first too. But I'm in the middle of rewatching the whole show (half way through season 5) and four still stands out to me. Everything from the politics to Carver's character development is incredible in that season.
