Carpool for Seattle or Portland folks

We are a couple from the San Juan Islands area of WA, probally making a whirlwind journey from wa to indio, leaving thursday and returning monday. We have room for 1 or 2 people in our car.

you're going to have to drive pretty fast if you plan on leaving on thursday.

Whenever I drive from Seattle to LA its usually about a 1.5 day trip so I can stop off at a motel in Medford, Yreka or Sacramento and get some rest for safety reasons. I guess you could trade places and go non-stop but that's kind of miserable IMO.

With stops for gas, food, etc, you're looking at a solid 20 hours from Seattle to Indio if you're driving fast.

Last year my friends and I drove from Victoria BC to a house we rented in Palm Springs. From the ferry terminal on the mainland (near Vancouver) to Palm Springs including 40 minutes at the border took 24 hours. That' straight driving stopping for only food, gas and bathroom.
