How much cash to bring??

Tickets, camping passes, and snacks/water that i'll bring in myself excluded: how much cash should i bring for the three days? this would most likely be for meals, a little band merch, weed etc. i was thinking about $50 per day might suffice?

double that to be safe. You're going to spend ~$20 on water and maybe the same again for food. Tour tees are ~$25 and up.

There's no way you'd get merch + water + food on $50/day. I think I spent close to $20/day just on water+gatorade, maybe another $10-20 on food, and as pointed out, merch takes credit.

brought 300 last year and I bought 2 t-shirts and a poster and I ate and drank very well all 3 days

*edit* I only had one beer all weekend so bring more if you plan on spending time in the beer gardens

You wont need more then 40 bucks a day on food and drank.
if you want beer add more accordingly
if you want merch shirts were about 25-35 a day so how much ever you want.
I don't no what you do with 400 dollars guys.

I only spent $4000 on beer last year but you should bring 5 or 6 thousand just incase you run out cause you never want to be sober at coachella

80-100 a day.

I bring $300 for the whole weekend. That covers anything I need while in Indio.

I had $40 a day for food
I had $20 a day for water gatorade
I had $30 a day for merch
I had another $20-30 for stuff I bought to and from festival

I always had a little left over (not much)

bring some money for bail when you get busted buying that weed.

hmm, come to think of it, when i went in 06 i bought a franz ferdinand shirt and their debut album on vinyl, that was so they can sign it

There are other vendors that sell sunglasses and non-Coachella brand apparel and stuff; I guess some of them could be cash-only. The food and drinks are definitely cash only.

But don't stress out about it too much; as Dani pointed out above, there are always the ATMs.

geez...I wish I could function on 50 per day...last year, I took $1200 for the weekend for me and my g/f....not including tix or hotel. I came back home with 100. This year I plan on taking at least the same amount. I figure about $100 each per day on booze....that's 600 in booze alone for the weekend (2 people), conservatively (at $7 a beer, that's only about 12 drinks per day, tip included)...not to mention shirts/food/stuff...oh, and did I mention gambling the Thursday before??
