I was sooo gonna skip this year...but I just couldn't. Plus, I wanted to protect my presale account for next year. If I didn't order this year, there would be KILLER bands there next year for the 10 yr anniversary and then I wouldn't get the presale and would miss out.

Coachella's a blast - even if Jack Johnson will be there...
I'll be heading to the Sahara tent when he is on...if I'm not already there.

I went in 2004, 2005, and 2006. I took last year off and I still got an email (two, actually) about the presale this year. So missing this year would not disallow you from anything next year, if you're already signed up for the micrommunity.

Skipping this year (first Coachella that I will have missed). I am also waiting to see what's going down with APW (Coachella East), mainly because I'm just not that impressed with the line-up (another first), and it will be easier and MUCH cheaper for me to go to NY.

I've seen Portishead a few times, as well as Roger Waters, so those two headliners were kinda of meh to me. Great acts sure, but not quite motivating enough, cash wise. And don't even bother asking me about effing Jack Johnson. Might as well been Hootie headlining.

my bro & i have never missed a single day of coachella since the beginning, so we couldn't miss out now... but it's funny how many people bitch about the line-up, but then everyone's still going for all 3 days

I know ... let me splain.

See my avatar, that's one of the reasons (he would be about 8 mos. aCoachella time), and I started a business in 2007. Lastly, since relocating from SoCal to F***ing Lexington, KY (we are planning on moving back to SoCal by 2011), there is a tremendous more cost (airfare, hotel, rental, tickets - gone up in price) and logistics (i.e. kid and the afore mentioned) involved. One note, I have no qualms about bringing my son, I think it would be a very cool/good time and I would have a great time getting him started on awesome music and the vibe of the festival.

I love Coachella, but I was kind of underwhelmed by the lineup - I think it's good, not great. I do like a lot of the undercard as I rarely ever consider the headliners anyways. I guess this year there would have had to have been something really special. So going to Eastchella (if I do) would be less expensive. (Hey my business is just getting up and going). Lastly, if anyone has free tickets, I would go.

I'm planning to go to all 3 days, though at this point I only have a single day pass for Saturday. Originally we were only planning to go on Friday and Saturday, but then of course as we've discovered more acts there are many on Sunday that we want to see. So I'm planning to sell my Saturday passes and purchase 3 days.
