So who's performing at sunset this year? I was just watching Cinematic Orchestra videos on youtube and wow they would be perfect on Saturday...Mum on Friday...Spiritualized on Sunday.

Fri - The Breeders (before the Verve and JJ, The Raconteurs headline the Outdoor Theatre)
Sat - Death Cab for Cutie (before Portishead and Kraftwerk)
Sun - Spiritualized (before My Morning Jacket and Roger Waters)

Outdoor Theatre:
Fri - Mum
Sat - Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks
Sun - Gogol Bordello

I hope Gogol is in the Mojave tent. They do better in a more intimate environment.

Regrettably... They're on the 3rd line. Chromeo and Justice will be in the tent, Metric will probably close out the Mojave, and the rest... Well, regardless of the Streets, I'm pretty damn sure Gogol'll either be playing sunset on the Outdoor Theatre or closing it.

Spiritualized played the outdoor stage from sunset to dark in 99. It was quite beautiful.

I highly doubt they'll have the raconteurs close the outdoor against fatboy. Most likely get sunset on the main.

How much down-time do you think there will be betwen Love and Rockets and Roger Waters on the main stage? I imagine it would take at least an hour to prepare.

Cinematic Orchestra would be awesome in the Gotan Project slot on the Outdoor Stage.

Although, how amazing would it be to see this with the sun going down?

I'm actually thinking that MMJ plays before RW and L&R plays the Outdoor Theatre opposite MMJ after Gogol.

Sunday will have the worst conflicts, mark my words.

Gogol does Outdoor, they cant shove them in Mojave again, it woudl be overly packed.

Sigur Ros did it in '06. They were very good on the main stage in that role. They were a nice "wind-down" group after 2 energized sets from Kanye and Common. That and after those 2 were done, half the crowd left and I got up really close because of it. But here's a really good clip from that '06 performance. It got really full again fafter their set, because Franz Ferdinand was next up.

I forgot about that, his set was fuckin awesome. The only thing that I kinda hated about him going right before Madonna, was there were a lot of poeple that were just standing there... Like they were waiting for Madonna and hated that they had to wait through this DJ lol. The other cool thing about that Oakendfold set, was that it was so stripped down. No big light/graphic show behind him. Just him and his music.

Definitely! I really felt he got the vibe of the crowd that was there to see him. I moved more toward the back away from the madonna waiters. had room to dance and see the sunset. he is a great DJ indeed.
