I give GV credit for giving Madonna the chance to perform at Coachella. But it didn't work out well. Perhaps the expectations were impossible for her to overcome. Or maybe if more effort had gone into her actual performance rather than on all her backstage amenities and hoopla. I always wonder how it would've worked out if they hadn't shut down every stage but Mogwai's.

Mogwai would have been moved to the main stage and would have blown out the Sahara tent with a vicious My Father My King...leaving the tent in ruins only to be pieced back together by Daft Punk who would've performed a 2 hour encore of Madonna Remixes to make up for her lack of a show...

Those who complain about her histrionics in '06 never went to a G n'R show in the early '90s, now those were delays.

i saw madonna live back in 2006 and i was shockingly surprised! it was a fucking amazing, well choreographed , high energy concert. one of the best shows i saw in 06! but for coachella? no! she needs to do her own stage production. coachella doesnt fit for her anymore.

I can't even remember at this point if he was with them when I saw them. It was 2hrs or so of a delay that day too. Thankfully Faith No More had played a stormer to keep folks happy.
