i think they are great, i have the oportunity to see Porter in mexicali and they are GREAT, and i so exited to watch austin Tv and Cafe tacuba, for first time.
also i think this is a great festival to small bands to get known by american, europan and other public

just cafeta deserves to be at coachella. in Mexico we have more talented bands than austin tv and porter. and whats the point of having mexican bands at coachella when you can see them in your city!

it's disappointing that slots that could've gone to bands that I want to see went to terrible Mexican bands like Porter (worst thing I've ever seen ever...I mean ever) and Austin TV. If GV plans on making this a Mexi-fest then maybe that its time to look to other fests.... Cafe Tacuba is the exception.

im a big fan but not hardcore. and fact is i went last year and i said i was gonna go again this year. i enjoyed the whole thing last year even tho i didnt even hear about alot of the bands playing i ended up likeing alot of the bands last year. so im guessing the same thing will happen this year ..oh except for JJ .. lol but ya

more records out and is widely know in Mexico and they've never done Coachella. Many people dont even know who Austin tv is.
And their second album or whatever it is, yeah its okay, yeah it made them
more popular... But I dont think they deserve to be at coachella just yet.

saw cafeta in november... they rocked.. but had I a terrible cold that kept in the back of the theather unable to enjoy them as much a previous times...

austin tv is a nice little band that nobody knows about... there kinda like a explosions in the sky's baby brother who's taking it's first steps, they should be an interesting band to follow in the coming years.

porter. they have one album out, and out of nowhere this LA magazine calls'em "The band that will save mexican rock..." ouch.. not even close. they are indeed a very young group, their album is averege at best, and live gigs are nothing special... I mean to think of the potential mexican bands that could have taken their place... we're talking.. La Barranca, Fobia, La Gusana Ciega, Liquits. or let's not even mention greats like molotov, maldita vencindad or Caifanes.

Mexican bands at Coachella = a huge disapoinment for sure. claro sin contar a los Cafetos.
