Mark Ronson is basically blue-eyed soul. He is a more straightforward Jamie Lidell. Basically, Jamie Lidell minus the experimental electronic leanings. And he doesn't really sing as much. Based on what I've heard.
Rabbit in the moon either.
The Swell Season
120 Days
Cinematic Orchestra
The Field
Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings
I just listened to that Once soundtrack today, it surely is sweet.
I'm operating under the assumption that everyone here knows the bands on the first 3 lines or so. So I'm going to try and go for some bands that are lower on the bill that interest me.
The Black Lips
The Cool Kids (esp since there is hardly any rap on the bill)
The Shout Out Louds
The White Stripes 9/18

1. Run to a nice patch of grass on the fields and lay face down.
2. Tilt your head ninety degrees with your forehead temple resting on your forearm and watch people through the vision pocket right underneath your armpit hair.
3. Do this for a few hours until you get comfortable.
A Daft Punk thread containing 'nothing of substance'. How bout that.
Fine, but I'd appreciate it if you took note of how despicable all those idiots posting over and over again are. See how fucking annoying it is? Okay, now here's the thing you don't get: THAT'S WHAT YOU ACT LIKE. Sometimes. More so in the past, you've become less retarded recently, which we can all be thankful for. But just take note and try maintain some level of non-dumbshittery if I'm going to read your posts, okay?
I'll do the YouTube/link thing a little later when I'm not at work. For now, my excitement is reserved for the lower-tier likes of:
Manchester Orchestra
120 Days
The Bees
Carbon/Silicon (Mick Jones from The Clash! How did I not know about this?)
Shout Out Louds
Enter Shikari
The Annuals
Why didn't anyone tell me I loved The Bees?
Yes sir.

PF posted each band's Myspace and Youtube links at:
http://coachella.com/updates/news
If you scroll down you will see it. Really helpful.
Yeah, The Bees!
I think I told you yesterday, Hannah.
Acknowledged, and I'm sure we'll all be going through that thoroughly. I figured this thread would be a nice place for highlights and youtube videos--perhaps ones we find even better than the ones linked on that page. Live vids also would probably be most helpful if anyone encounters some particularly good ones, as we all know what's good live and what's good on record ain't always the same thing.
No, you said YOU like The Bees. You didn't say anything about how much I apparently like them. But ok. Acknowledged.
Whoa.
I just listened to 100 days, 100 nights a couple days before the lineup was released..
I'm definitely checking out Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings
Also intrigued by:
120 days
The Bees
MGMT
The Swell Season
The Bird and the Bee
The Cool Kids
I'm diggin through some vids..
COACHELLA '07, '08, '09, '11, '13
No problem. *Orbit, Are you definitely going now? Who are your Top 5 must-see EDM acts?*

I think one of the themes at Coachella this year is trashy electro. Because most of the bands I didn't know have turned out to be just that. Not that that is a bad thing. Coachella wants people to dance I guess.
The do lab should make a return.
Oh realsies? Alright, I will make note of that then.
You will not see me under any fucking circumstances at Les Savy Fav, though. =)
Just out of curiosity, what's the bmack feeling on Waters destroying the polo fields with awesomeness?
