Thank you for watching it.I did not mean to hijack your thread,it just ocurred to me that you live in the city where all this important history took place.the real tapes are much better than the movie, apparently.

Hannah, congrats on being BMOTW. We've already established that you're an insomnia sufferer and that you have a roommate. Is your roommate someone that you can confide in (like a longterm friend) or is it assigned rooming? How does your insomnia affect her and do you sometimes like to watch her sleep and wish horrible, horrible things on her because she looks so peaceful (only you really don't want anything even remotely bad to happen to her)?
Also, favorite Otter Pop flavor and then (separate question) who is your favorite Otter Pop character? It's ok if you have never heard of Otter Pops, but entirely inexcusable if you prefer Flavo-Ice to Otter Pops...

I have to say, John's answers for best VU song were pretty much flawless. Heroin and Venus in Furs are interchangable answers from the first album.
Besides stuffed mushrooms, what else do you like to cook? (I just made some pretty good Chicken Marsala, and food is on my mind)
my roommate is nice. unfortunately, that hasn't kept me from hating her. she doesn't really understand common courtesy. it's an assigned rooming sort of thing. Although the worst thing i wish on her is that her cell phone breaks, so i don't have to listen to her overloud three hour conversations in a language i don't speak. it's relatively trying.
but i do resent her regular sleep pattern.
i was a hippie kid born to a young mother who dropped out of college to go on dead tour. otter pops were those things that the other kids were allowed to eat and i wasn't.
ben and jerry's on the other hand...
hmm. I don't like to cook with meat really, because i'm not entirely sure how to treat it. I make excellent homefries though. In high school (i went to school in a small building that had an open kitchen) i would sometimes be excused from class to make mass amounts of potatoes for everyone.
i'm not that into pork actually. with the exception of low-end chinese food and bacon of course. but like i said, i don't eat much meat.
ah. i haven't seen a taco truck since i moved here. that must be the problem.
If you could be a guy for one day, what would you do?
A teenage dream, so hard to beat...
go somewhere snowy, and write my name in the snow.If you could be a guy for one day, what would you do?
most of the day's activities would involve peeing. in the snow, up walls, etc.
there's much more art here that's something i was really missing in eugene. For you, what's the best thing you've experience whilst living in San Francisco?
not to mention the fact that you can find anything within walking distance.
Are you ok?Did that wake you up or were you awake still?Oh never mind,it happened at 8:40 PM while you were still on here.I thought it was at 3 in the morning.

I went to a lot of shows as a child, actually. I was born when my mom was 21, and, while she was a great mom, she was still a fun woman. Girl, really. So I guess there wasn't a single coolest experience, but more a series of them.
The ones I remember specifically were all Dead shows, and then Jerry memorial shows after that. There were also a lot that I'm not sure of. I guess she took me to a lot of shows of bands that she knew. I remember hearing stories about Mojo Nixon and Camper van Beethoven staying at her house while in town for shows, and I was most likely in attendance.
I do know that I was concieved at a Hot Tuna concert though. I find that pretty fucking funny.
Today, when I was leaving the apartment, she asked where I was going, and I told her I was going to the bank, and then to meet a friend. I have no idea how she misconstrued this, but she somehow ended up thinking I was going to a "showgirl bank". I'm not sure what she meant when she said showgirl bank, but I had a really hard time not laughing at the thought of bank tellers strutting down a runway. Now, couple that with my neglect to explain to her about the file of references I have for my figure drawing class. I think she has some pretty strange ideas about me.
At that point it would have been more like 2 feet (if that). so unless Mojo has no eye for measurements, chances are pretty slim. But you never know...
Why don't you have a MyS?
You do realize it is 2007 right?

That's really cool that your mom took you to a lot of shows, and ALSO cool that it was a good experience for you. My parents were never really into music--I had to find out for myself. And now that I have kids, I'm torn between wanting to take them to shows so they could have that kind of experience and not wanting to take them to shows because it might be like a mild form of child abuse, at least in the minds of other people. So far, I've only taken them to see the White Stripes because that was their favorite band, although now the way my older daughter clamors for the Daft Punk bootleg, I may have to take them to see Daft Punk!
