How many people know %80 of the bands playing?

I have never heard most of the bands playing, meaning I have to go out and buy their stuff to listen to it, so when I see them, I can enjoy their music. Anyone have the same problem?
Last year was great, I knew most of all the stuff.

That 90% of unfamiliarity will = about 40-50% when Coachella actually arrives. That's what the 3 months are for.

Definitely don;t know 80%, but I've heard quite a bit of the lineup in at least a passing listen. That said, who would want to go to a festival where they knew 80% of the lineup? I mean, the lineup could use a little tweaking in my opinion, but the fact remains that there are plenty of artists I want to see on each day. I think everyone will start getting psyched up when the little band capsules start going up and new "must-see" bands emerge for everyone. I'm not as familiar with as many of the hip-hop and electronica acts this year, but I really have been kinda veering away from both of those genres lately anyway.

yea, I always go to Austin City Limits from toronto, but to go all the way to LAX for this lineup... Its a tough call.

i've heard of 40% of the lineup and heard 30%-35%. i actually like that. instead of preconceived notions about bands i can give them all a fair listen now.

I don't think I ever come close to knowing even 40% of all the artists.

I usually know around 20%. This year, maybe 25%. I do a lot of studying as we lead up to the event.

I'm somewhat familiar with maybe 2/3rds of the lineup, thanks to myspacing and youtubing, and am interested in maybe 1/5th of it. And of the remaining unknowns, even if the same percentage ends up appealing to me, it still won't add up to previous years.

By April, my goal is to know 100%.
