With all the fame Coachella is known for and past artists, Why go from RHCP, INTERPOL, RATM, to Portishead, Jack Johnson and Roger Waters?

If they actually charged $500 for a pass like at those UK festivals, I would totally pay for it for this poster... Sad it is not happening.
It's far from it which sucks aswell. Oh well...

I like that one better, but aside from the headliners and subheadliners they are both pretty similar.

I am happy with the real thing because there are lots of great bands, plus I really hate being in the middle of a huge crowd for a headliner. It is awful. But Jack Johnson/Raconteurs/Breeders will be nice from the out skirts of the crowd. As will all the other headliners.

peter murphy left bauhaus back in the 80's, the other three members went on to form love and rockets. i like em, they have some good songs. you have probably heard them before but just didnt know it

I went and listened to them and I was NOT into it. It sounded like goth rock... if that's even a kind of rock. They really don't seem like a Coachella band to me. Oh well though.

also, I am really surprised that Volta isn't on the bill... anyone else?
They just put out a new cd, havn't been there in a while ( I think?), lots of people like em... Maybe they were just busy. I would have liked for them to be on there though...

I really like their one hit, "So Alive", but I haven't been able to score any more of their material, thanks to oink and demonoid being gone. Regardless, they are on my "check out" list if end up going on Sunday.
