I think so.
After Jack, Yes
Never
I think so.
far from it.
as predicted by nostradamus
the beginning of the end!!!!
the east festival is killing coachella!!!!
are you kidding me? lol.
Are you all forgetting that Jack Johnson has played Coachella TWICE before, in 2002 and 2003? I don't understand how bumping his name up another row and in bigger print is going to "kill" the festival. There's 123 other bands on the lineup. Good God.
2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012b, 2013a
let the poll do the talking
coachella isnt dead but its for sure the lamest lineup ive ever seen. im sooooooooooooooo bummed RADIOHEAD is not playing...
~EJR~
One crappy headliner won't ruin a festival which is best because of the smaller indie acts and reunion acts. Portishead and The Verve both haven't played the U.S. for somewhere around a decade. And regarding indie acts, if you think the lineup sucks, you really shouldn't be going to Coachella.
why no big name underground/true hip-hop acts this year? little brother is a breath of fresh air but wtf?
Murs is niice..

Well this will be the first Coachella EVER that I'm passing up and i've attened them all faithfully and eagerly year in and year out.
Some decent acts but honestly, there is no one that I really MUST SEE.
seeing The Verve might be nice I suppose Madness too and L&R but none of those inspire me to do anything but wait to see if they play any warm up gigs.
you all need to remember what this fest was based on. music and art. it has always been in support of the indie acts and such even though a lot of them may not be as well. i am looking forward to hearing new acts as well as expierencing the Dark Side of the Desert!
northside groove...southside groove....eastside groove...westside groove
Ok I've looked and read this before posting (for those who know me, that is unusual).
I think The Verve, Portishead, Gogol Bordello, Simian Mobile Disco, Mark Ronson, The Horrors, MIA, Justice and FatBoy Slim might just make it not as much of a fucking disaster as some think it appears (at first).
Its not perfect, nothing is. I think for me anyway it will be a good chance to check out the more unfamiliar bands.
See you there.
jack johnson. jesus, i almost forgot he's playing. i know it's small print, but get new glasses and read all those little words. it's an amazing lineup.

nah...
its going to pull a Jesus Christ and ressurect in a few days
there are babies in this thread.
Coachella's not dead...it's just pretty obvious they tried to reunite big original groups as headliners and couldn't do it.
Instead of Pink Floyd we have Roger Waters
Instead of Bauhaus we have Love and Rockets
Couldn't even get The White Stripes together...ha!
And what's up with this major focus on Euro groups? And where's the multi-ethnic diversity in the line-up??? Is this festival NOT based in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!?!?!?!?
