I'm sure there will be people around most of the time at the campgrounds. Not everyone goes to the venue the minute gates open and not everyone stays till the bitter end.

I also don't see the festival selling out so they can always hit up the on-site box office for tickets or a desperate scalper trying to unload tickets.

Jake, as long as you all enter the campground in the same vehicle, you are all good. I have known several broke folk who go for the party rather than the show. And mag is right, always people on the campground.

Although, word on the street is Sunday is sold out. I know, I didn't believe it either.

Since I have been the weatherman for this thread recently, I will say the extended forecast still calls for sun, maybe some clouds, but we are getting closer to a dry weekend.

Hey, if any of y'all want to meet up at Sasquatch I'd be more than happy to put a face to a name (or alias). I propose a digit exchange that we can do in private channels. As I recall, cell service is pretty decent out at the Gorge so I think that would be a good method for organizing people. Hit me with a PM if you're interested and I'll see you at the Gorge!

I believe it, keep in mind that they had to honor ticket buyers from the Cure's rescheduled show.

so I gotta buy another tent cuz the one I have will be oversized when folded up and I'm not going to pay $75 for the oversized fee. good thing I decided to check online before it was too late!

I guess the good news is that I get my $230 back and get to buy a cheaper one.

they go by linear inches and I was at 87" becuase it was a cot and a tent so it doesn't fold up as much as a normal tent does.

Up to 62 in. No Fee
    63-80 in. $50 (USD)
    81-115 in. $75 (USD)

That's fucked up. Is that the airline dictating your oversize or Sasquatch? I can assure you that there are no measurements for tent size at the site. Come as you are.

it's the airline, I don't think sasquatch cares what I bring on the plane. I guess I should have clarified.

also, it seems alaska airlines only allows 1 checked bag, WTF?!

I didn't even think to look at baggage limits, because I usually travel light for domestic flights. When did airlines start restricting to one checked bag? I guess I better attempt packing before Friday.

Sounds good to me. If there is a time/place let me know. Or if anyone wants to met up with me, just PM me.

that's what I'm trying to figure out. in october I was able to check 2 bags and saw plenty checking more than that. Alaskan airlines is weird, it has all this stuff about rules applying to ticket purchased after may 1st for flights after july 1st. well, I purchased in march/april, and my flight is before July 1st, where are MY rules?!

*edit* actually, I just pulled up the site again and now it shows rules for people that purchased before may 1st and I am allowed 2 checked bags. that helps out a lot!

I guess it's a new rule limiting carry on. Is it just Alaska air, or do all airlines have that restriction now?

    Weather Update:

Latest weather report as of 3pm Monday is that Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny with high temps at 79 and 89 degrees (26 and 31 Celcius)

Monday has a high of 83 (28 celcuis) and ISOLATED THUNDER STORMS.
That just brings back memories of the '06 hailstorm.

What would a Flaming Lips show at the Gorge be without a storm?

Another weather site I checked shows rain Tuesday, but mostly sunny Monday. It also shows similar highs and lows to weather.com. Although, weather.com is to weather as MTV is to music on TV. Maybe they were the first, but in no way does it mean they are the best.

PS. If weather.com had a more favorable forecast for Sasquatch, I would not have made up such a lame analogy.

I didn't realize my tent was a Jr. tent. There is a kid in the picture on the front lol. On well. I set it up in the living room in less than 5 minutes and I fit inside barely so I guess it will work. The stakes are the size of my fingers. This should be interesting. As long as there is no extremem weather I will be fine lol. It has a tiny flap that covers the opening on the top in case of rain lol. There is no extra floor matting or whatever though i'm not sure what that would be for. I got quite the minimalist tent. I just got back from Mexico and I totally forgot to request Tuesday off for Sasquatch since the flight doesn't leave until late tuesday night ughh. I put in for it and i think it's basically approved.

So, do we have any plans for Tuesday? When do you all fly back again Chia and kings?

I think you have to be back first. if I remember correctly it was around 5pm. I gave myself plenty of time to get back to seattle and turn in teh rental before the flight.
