Rodrigo y Gabriela were my #3 act from Coachella last year. I bought their album there, and I love it. I really hope they don't conflict with Battles, like I fear they will.
And The Mars Volta are definately an acquired taste, but I love them. Make sure you either grab Deloused in the Comatorium or Frances The Mute. Their last two albums are...ok, but their first two are nothing short of brilliant.

Maybe, it's the rare situation where I will take the stage performance over the art. M.I.A. has some desent beats and when the bass vibrates in her tunes it's stellar but overall she just doesn't do it for me.

Well, I might as well go on record saying I can't stand MIA and having to listen to her in order to get a good spot for Modest Mouse is going to suck.

And the reason I love Chromeo is because it's so gay and 80s.

See and that's perfectly acceptable. I tried and after I listened to the album a half dozen times, I was like "umm no more please".

I'm getting worried about Beirut because they cancelled their entire summer European tour and I'm afraid the few US dates will be next. Theres a cryptic letter on their website that makes it sound like we might not be hearing from Beirut for awhile... really hope they don't cancel.

Some bands I hadn't heard of but since listening to their stuff I'm really stoked to see:

    Saturday:
Throw Me The Statue, David Bazan, Kathleen Edwards

Sunday: The Heavenly States, What Made Milwaukee Famous, The Blakes

Monday: Pela, Thao Nguyen with the Get Down Stay Down, Delta Spirit, Say Hi

The absolute number one band for me though, (and I haven't seen them mentioned on here at all), is Okkervil River.

Volta before Flips......wow with battles and ghostland that same day

volta before flips though.....i must say the volta have upped their game lately and this is just gonna be pure madness, personally i think its genious for them to be before the lips. this gives us both sides of a wierd spectrum of colors that contains alot of drugs....i cant fucking wait.

(first time for the flaming lips for me so that just makes me way too excited.....one festival at a time though i gues...)

    10 days woo!
