Oh yeah, and the mainstage acts mentioned are correct.

maybe MIA will come back to Sas since she had to cancell last year
Well each the mainstage had 6 "big acts" last year. Bjork, Beastie Boys, Arcade Fire, Interpol, Manu Chao and Michael Franti.
So far, this year we have The Cure, REM, Gang Of Four, Modest Mouse, Death Cab and ______. We are still missing one big mainstage act.
Mars Volta? QOTSA? Gnarls Barkley? Franz Ferdinand? Common... give us a hint.
QOTSA played in '06 and endeared themselves to the bouncers by swearing at them all through the show because they were trying to stop crowd surfing. It was funny standing in line for food and hearing Josh swear every couple of minutes.

In its opening year, a fan attending a Steve Winwood concert flicked a cigarette lighter and ignited methane that had been leaking from a landfill underneath the theatre. Several small fires were reported that season. After those incidents the city of Mountain View commissioned methane testing studies to define the locus of methane vapors emanating from the soil within the Shoreline Amphitheater.[1] These tests were used in developing a design for improved methane monitoring and more efficient methane extraction to assure the amphitheater became safe as an outdoor venue. Ultimately the entire lawn was removed to allow the installation of a gas barrier and better methane removal equipment.
I just started a blog regarding Sasquatch! since it seems there is nothing out there. There's not much to it yet, but I plan on adding anything that people need/want to know. Please visit! Thanks!

... (*To Dustin* ) and your sources (links etc.) for all those, please.
What? For his blog? All of the items posted on the blog are bands that have been discussed here, and there are no solid links.
They are rumors because they haven't been officially announced anywhere, but with the fill in the blanks work (REM, MM + The National being rumored to be playing Sasquatch as part of their joint tour, announce said tour with a hole between Vancouver and LA that would be Sasquatch).
Or am I misreading your comment?

Thanks for reminding me about Gang of Four. This is very new to me so I will learn as I go. I will look into links. Thanks for the input. I'm just trying to get all the Sasquatch! fans across the internet in one place. We'll see how we do. Keep checking it out. It will get better as we go.....
I'm pretty sure I'll be at Sasquatch, but if not the Greek show looks interesting - week after spring semester ends, sounds like a great time for a show in Berkeley![]()
about sasquatch real quick: oohhhh soo pretty and wonderful. I had the pleasure of going last year for the first time, and had a great time. Yes, everyone should go in their lifetime. I still can't believe I saw Spoon, Interpol, Arcade Fire, Bjork and Beastie Boys all so close up. Un.freaking believable. The smaller acts were pretty chill, and just a whole other loose vibe.

Marco, what I meant was that I am surprised they are playing such big venues on their tour but decided to go smaller for Northern Cali, should be a good show, I love the Greek at Berkeley. But I wouldn't drive 6 hours for REM, I'll probably just catch the Bowl show.
Also... it looks as if Devon Williams is opening that leg of the tour, which is Sweeeet.... That Devon Williams single A Truce/Elevator from last year was so amazing. Download that shit here:

February 20th was last year's official release of the lineup.. Google it and all the music blogs have articles/postings for that date. Plus me and a couple others have eluded to the 19th/20th or "mid February" in previous posts on this thread.

Whether it happens around the same time this year is of course the promoters decision.
