i dont know if everyone who thinks there is even a possibility of gilmour playing is just being fanciful, but if you seriously think that is going to happen you are deluding yourself. they dont speak anymore. gilmour has publicly said on many occasions, including in an interview in rolling stone, that he NEVER wants to reunite. he is bored with pink floyd he says. the only reason the live 8 show happened was for charity. I think Underworld or My Bloody Valentine would probably add a lot of excitement to the festival. Probably not Goldfrapp or Bat For Lashes. Of course, it all depends on your definition of madness. I doubt there is going to be any huge additions like Prince or Led Zeppelin. And do we really want something like what happened with Madonna again?
