Anyone that doesn't want to see Portishead and/or Roger Waters is more than welcome to stay the fuck home--you have no business at a music festival. Now if only you douchebags would eventually leave the board, I'll be able to enjoy this place again.

Not familiar with how Pink Floyd changed the face of concerts, eh?
Roger Waters is a douche. Fuck him ad Pink Floyd. The nice part about this years line up is I will leave early each night and not have to deal with the clusterfuck in the parking lot.

Rue isn't great.
Randy, you gotta lotta heart man. Fanx.
Thank you for Holy Fuck and the Bees, Goldenvoice.
I have faith you'll add some acts to the friday lineup.
I'm fine with it. I'd rather Jack not be headlining, but this is the first year where I actually like more than 50 percent of the headliners. I'm going to trip my face off progressively harder each night, it'll work perfectly. Last year when I first looked at the lineup there were honestly maybe 10 bands all told I knew I was interested in seeing. Of course by the time the fest actually rolled around, I'd found 20 more.
This time there's already 20-25. And there will be practically no teenybopper douchebags present, except maybe Friday.
whats wrong with teenyboppers?
and friday will bring a parade of geezers with picnic blankets...
I'm actually very familiar w/ it. I even saw the Floyd during The Division Bell tour and heard Dark Side played in its entirety. I also know that they had a mobile venue (partially inflatable) built when they couldnt find venues suitable to perform The Wall they way they really wanted. I think its cool that he's going to be there. I'm just not that exited about it. I do, however, want to check out the performance.
EDIT: Im sure he can make a room move, and the albums sales are damn near untouchable.
You're all jerkoffs who take up the prime hours and stage with crap like Rage and I have to listen to you screaming about stupid shit. Having a 25 and over crowd mostly would be awesome as far as I'm concerned.
BUT THE RAPE!! WILL SOMEONE PLEASE THINK ABOUT THE RAPE!!!
You saw the Division Bell tour and you're somehow not excited about this? Dude... I would literally kill whoever it took to get to have seen one of those shows. Craziness.
Honestly, how many headliners can you name that are going to put on a show like we're going to get on Sunday based on your experience there?
Portishead are laammmme and I could give a fuck about Roger Waters. Should I leave your message board, Li'l Wang?
and randy, if ur such a waters fan, havent you already been to one of his shows? i know he's played the bowl at least once..
Go listen to whatever underground hip hop you and the other white office workers are pushing this week, FOI.
Missed it last year, and fucking hated myself for it. Tried to get down to the Irvine show but couldn't get anyone to go with me and knew I wouldn't be in any state to drive back when it was over. But seeing him at the Bowl and seeing him at Coachella makes a lot of difference. Know how expensive seeing that show from within 200 feet would be at the bowl?
by the way I'm AMPED on this lineup. Malkmus, Metric, National, Kraftwerk, fucking BREEDERS, it's gonna be a good year.
i dunno...i just picture a lawn littered with used IV bags and salve
No, I just wanna hear what phat beats your pale ass is loving nowadays while dismissing Portishead and Roger Waters. Please, enlighten me.
Should I quote myself?
Come on, people.
It's not a collection of my favorite bands, but there are some things on there that should be a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to knowing about the bands I don't know about already. There are some acts that would have been nice to see. But there are always going to be some acts that would have been nice to see. There are also some that I don't care about and will be skipping. Such is life. If I was expecting only things I like, it'd be called Hannahchella and most of you wouldn't be invited.
Regardless of who plays, it's going to be a shit ton of fun. Portishead is pretty exciting. Love and Rockets is awesome, and Roger Waters, though I'm not a die-hard fan, is going to be a good way to end the whole thing. Dark Side of the Moon is an important album and hearing it performed live is going to be pretty cool.
And hey. Maybe Jack Johnson will die.
Kidding.
Maybe.
