    If this is true...

BUT.. I am still going to go. Maybe the bar has just been set a little high in recent years and you know you just cant come up with blockbusters every year. I still have no doubt I will have a good time. Just......you know.......Jack Johnson?

Forgiven. Just wait. They've been wanting to scale back for awhile now. Best thing for it. Also expect the adds. I've heard more than a few things.

Easy tiger. I know you are frothing at the mouth in defense of coachella. Let people air their grievances. I did say that I would still be going. Like scoop49er said, "its about more than the headliners".

I think it's a solid line up for the most part in spite of the fact that Jack Johnson is on there.

You can totally tell that they'll be adding acts, note the large gap after the Raconteurs on Friday.

I would wager to say that overall the meat of the lineup is more solid than last year. There's a slew of quality up and comers. Plus I can't believe they got Kratwerk back. Plus Paul's got tricks.

there are only two subheadliners each day, and just because the two on friday have short names it doesnt mean they will add something there.

Some people need to give the entire lineup a listen before they pass their judgment. It can't always be Daft Punk and Radiohead. Sometimes you need to play the Jack Johnson card. Roger Waters is the closest thing we are going to get to Pink Floyd, so we should be happy. We FINALLY got Portishead! Have you looked at the bands under Jack Johnson? The fucking Verve is on there! Swell Season, Stars, Mum, Fatboy Slim! Spiritualized is going to tear the place up. And have we overlooked the fact that we will be in the House of the Rising Sun?

You've been inflicted with madness to not be excited for Madness.

Yes I agree. But it was fun to jump on the JJ bandwagon for a bit. Plus I just really wanted to get the dibs on the "its raining coachella" thread.

I dont think so. It really depends on Coachella East line up - or maybe Lolla - or maybe even V in Toronto.

I am loving all the Madness loving. Seriously, they are the #1 reason for me going to Coachella this year.

I am glad you have warmed up to the line up. At first glance, I was kinda disapointed. But after a good read through of the line up... its pretty damn incredible. Sunday is going to be sooooooo full of conflicts for me.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

    Martin Luther King Jr
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

    APW????

Good point - but I gotta say - i think I'd rather take my chances. esp with Radiohead in the mix. There's just going to be a lot of choice this year and I'm not sure my fave festival stepped up like I wanted them to.

I can't believe I am seriously leaning toward not going. It would break my streak!
