All the punks think that you're dumb.
well go see le sa vs pip. seen them live already and they are brilliant. one of the very few good things about this festival. still outragesly disappointed
It's not bad. Aesop Rock, Rilo Kiley, Mum, My Morning Jacket...I'm going to love this year.
your lossYes, thank you Dani. But it's really a sad day for most ...

I personally love it.
Would I fight Paul T if he wanted to add Mogwai, Moby, Tom Waits, or PJ Harvey at the last minute? Nah, probably not. But there's 12 bands I'm JACKED UP about, a dozen I'm okay with, one I dislike (Jack Johnson, who also happens to play on the deepest day), and probably 80 that I've never really given a chance to.
chips you will be banned for spamming the board, just sayin

I think this line up was worth the wait. I got some cd shopping to do, but love lots of the mid-tier bands....
Sahara tent all three days...cool...
This lineup reminds me of the first time I went to Coachella. I knew no one but Radiohead. Yet, discovering the bands I'd never heard of turned out to be what's great about Coachella, for me. So I got lotso CD shopping to do and downloading to do...
Oh yeah, Metric, Breeders, Fatboy, Kraftwerk, Gogol, Freeland, Sasha and Digweed, Animal Collective, Pendulum, and ROGER WATERS FTW!
Oh yeah and ban that dude, psychic, please...

100% agreed.... I think that "unhyping" Coachella is a good idea.... this lineup minus a few acts i believe will still be added is rad! Of course they can't please everyone. I don't like every band, but as long as there are enough solid acts to go around, and a few new bands to discover than you've sold me... Coachella is not just about seeing the worlds "greatest" bands it is the whole experience and all of the cray events that happen to you well your there and the people you meet.
While first reading Jack Johnson on teh list was a little disconcerting, I too approve. Plenty of sets on each day that i'd like to catch and plenty of artists i've been meaning to give a listen anyway would make it worth attending.
I am way down with this lineup, there are more than 20 bands that i'd like to see. the sahara will be great and there are alot of bands that i've been wanting to see.
no radiohead, oh well, just go see them when they are touring this year. same w/ other bands out there that are not on the list.
there is great music there and alot of you that are not impressed just need to explore some of the artists
friday is so great. i cannot wait. atl's finest: black lips to start the festival, animal collective on the main in the afternoon, and the national to close the outdoor theater. squeeze in battles and arch in helsinki in there. no time for food.
Ya, Black Lips are gonna rock! Think they'll be at the outdoor theater or in a tent?
id guess a tent, but i don't know how many people outside of atlanta know them. they could be huge, and i just have no idea.
This year will be my 5th year attending coachella. and yes, when i first read the lineup i was kind of bummed about the headliners, then i realized the headliners aren't usually where i spend my days anyways. I went through the lineup just now and there are about 20 bands i want to see each day. Can't beat that.
Battles, Aesop Roc, Midnight Juggernauts, Spank Rock, Diplo, Cut Copy, Dan Deaon, Busy P, The Bees, MODESELEKTOR, Portishead, Kraftwerk, Boyz Noise, Erol Alkan, Hot Chip, MIA, Institubes DJS, James Zabiela, SEbastiAn, Kavinsky,Uffie, Justice, The Streets, Danny Tenaglia, Simian Mobile Disco, Booka Shade, Murs, Dimitri From Paris, Sia, Roger Waters, & Deadmau5.
