They are going to lose their ass on ticket sales. If your patient you'll get cheap tickets on Ebay & from other scalpers. They aren't going to have an international draw. And what the fuck is with this Mexico City bullshit? Its not like Rodrigo y Gabriella or Ozomatli are playin. There are plenty of Latinos here in the U.S. to market the festival to. They should randomly give out free tickets in cases of Modelo. Heiniken by the way will be $12 a cup this year.

If I were Goldenvoice I would not have wanted to have a pre-sale like last year. That was a great deal, saved us a good deal of money and what it meant for them was less money and the people that paid less complaining about deception.

Tickets are way to expensive!!! I've gone to Coachella for many years and I have to say that Goldenvoice should have only made it two days. The line-up this year is only worth a two day fest. Combine Sundays' show with Fridays' & Saturdays' & bring down the price.

ok i understand they don't owe us shit and thats fine but look at their past top acts:
1999- Beck, RATM, TOOL
2001- Janes Addiction Weezer
2002- Bjork, Oases
2003-Beastie Boys, RHCP
2004- Radiohead, The Cure, Pixies
2005- Coldplay, Nine Inch Nails
2006- Depeche Mode, Tool, Daft Punk
2007- RHCP, Bjork, RATM
2008- Jack Johnson, Portishead, Roger Waters
look at all that and tell me that 2008 doesn't look out of place especially when roger waters is doing a show pretty much everyone has seen, jack johnson belongs at bonnaroo if anywhere and Portishead is great but for closing the night or headlining the sahara not the headline spot. there is a difference between them owing us something and what we the paying fans have come to expect from this world class leading festival that would provide its attendees with something that the world has yet been able to experience. such as the reunions and surprise appearances that we have all come to love. This sub par line up on top of raising the prices just so they can get APW off the ground really sucks for many of us that have reasonable expectations...I would have even taken Prince over Johnson...my 2 cents

I'm happy with this years line-up, especially in the Sahara tent. And for a local guy, I can't go anywhere for $90 and see so many acts in one place.

shut up. you can't get mad at people for not liking the lineup and ticket prices.......a lot of people look forward to this all year, a lot of lives relvolve around coachella. for GV to settle with a blatantly obvious half assed job of a lineup, THEN raise 3 day pass ticket prices, not 5 or ten dollars, but 20 dollars, is in my opinion, outrageous.

i'll admit, the initial shock of the lineup since yesterday has somewhat subsided......i'm still not hyped about the lineup though and probably won't be unless some serious adds take form. it's a mediocre lineup AT BEST, and i'm not even taking into account the headliners. even the subheadliners are lacking this year. quit getting pissed at people for voicing their opinion about the lineup......


just look at all the decent acts they didn't get....you know they're there. cat power, yeah yeah yeahs, broken social scene, feist, albert hammond, jr., shit even weezer at this point.

i think there's a lot of obvious coachella type bands that should have been on that lineup, and were more than likely, completely doable for GV.
