California only has Coachella, and now its shit. New York gets everything under the sun, fuck the east coast.
I admit it. I'm sad.
i just moved from the east coast, all set to take my 12 yr old. thanks but no thanks, won't waste my money
Did any other years get this much resentment? Cuz this is just bad.
I'm going to NYChella too ...
lineup is great. do your homework.
dif'rent strokes for dif'rent folks.
why waste your time hating the line-up?
listen to some of the bands and then make a judgement.
it might not suck as much as you think.
I'm a loner Dottie, a rebel.
I think I'll buy a ticket for Friday, considering its the only day I give a shit about, and try to sneak in the rest of the days. Practically got in for free last year; we walked into the back entrance without knowing and we stopped for a few minutes cause we were unsure of where we were and they asked us for wrist bands. If we kept going we would've gotten in for sure...
In response to Best foods at Coachella
Every festival every year has people really mad...it's an unavoidable fact of festival life...
Im pretty sure this is the worst backlash.
We are taking newbies this year and Im worried it wont be as fun because of the lack of enthusiasm.
ya fuck this
I think this is one of the best lineups in years. The undercard so to speak is actually quite stacked. Although I was hoping for The Knife. Are they doing any festivals this year?
And to be honest Jack Johnson is no worse than Tool or RATM imho. Sure he will attract a lot of numb nuts but at least they will be peaceful numb nuts.
re: "do your homework" (lol)
Coachella is supposed to be a cut above (along with Bonnaroo I guess). Yes there are good acts (the streets, justice, gogol bordello etc) but if you don't think it's a joke compared to last year, you're kidding yourself.
Maybe some of you have unlimited scratch... for the rest of us this isn't worth the price involved with travel, lodging/camping, tickets, and other expenses. UNLIKE previous years.
If you're happy, dance a jig. But the majority of us will see you in '09.
