Just posting for those that need an alternate thread to the other one.

    Here's the list from Paul!

"We're grateful to the Mexican fans and the fans all over Latin America. For the first few years of coachella, only four or five people from Mexico went, now thousands have. *missing* We realized how important Mexico was to the show, being so close to the Mexican border. We wanted to take it serious. We've never done a press conference for coachella, we just e-mail the poster as soon as our artists finish it. We thought we'd do something fun, and go down to Mexico, and throw somewhat of a party afterwards for fun. 7-8 of us came down. We're here and we're excited. one of the things, we've had Mexican bands before so far we have CAFE TACUBA, and two new ones PORTER and AUSTIN TV. Very excited to have Mexican artists. They've been making lots of waves in Los Angeles. The rumors about us doing an east coast festival is TRUE. It will NOT be called Coachella, but from the same team. Same values and similar art and music, aesthetics. It's a different venue, right near New York and New Jersey. Liberty State Park. I love Coachella's place, but the place in New York is very iconic. Most famous view in America, near Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island. Radiohead played there in 2001. Super excited that uh (piece missing) we got invited to help out with some partners in the east. Walked around, talked music, talked the park, luckily in New York/New Jersey, there is a lot of art. (MORE TO COME) (all loosely taken from Paul's official statements)

    More transcript:

Phil Lane has been scouering hte east coast for art, because he wants to do something different than what we do in the desert. NO CAMPING, Not as large as Coachella. Different bands than at Coachella, will grow to have its own personality. Still in love with coachella. Wanted to talk about, we started this last year, we will have packages from Mexico, airfare, hotel (piece missing) camping, transportation, tickets. I think it will be about $760 for the total package at livetours.com.mx. Our economy is rough in America so trying to make it easier for people. Just wanted to thank the staff here, I never experienced anything like this, being invited down to a different country to speak about a festival. Also, early on, in Coachella’s history, Eduardo Chevarina, came to us and asked about putting on some Mexican bands. Why not? Him and his friend had the Nor-Tec Collective, and it was so fun. Ever since that, the Mexican sound will hopefully get bigger. We want to try and build on that. Thank you Eduardo. Expanding on the art, experience, this year.

    [More from Paul]
We've got 125 bands, and some more hidden things to be added. When you got 5 stages going on at different times, you pick what's best for you. Some want to play at night, some in the light, we ask the bands what you'll like. That's what we're working on. Tickets on sale on Friday, head to coachella.com. Lot of work ahead of us. Want to thank Mexico for acknowledging our festival.
