Last year on friday I was having a hell of a time. I was drinking and was not thinking too well when I took a hit off my pipe in the middle of the lawn. Some dude in a Heinekin shirt came up to me and asked for a bud. I said no cause I only had brought so much in. He was beging me and I said fine and I gave him the tinest bud. The dude said let me pay for it. I said no, I don't sell pot I just smoke it. he started saying it was only fair he paid for the bud, and that he was not a mooch and tried to give me 20 bucks for the tinest bud. and just for a half second I thought about taking it but instead I said no away man, enjoy.and walked away. Next thing I know some dude grabing me saying Im under arrest. I didn't see any badge so i was like hell no, let go of me. I had a group of people around me asking me if I needed help until he showed his badge. Next thing I know I have two guys on each side of me and one guy behind me escorting me out of the event. I kept saying I did nothing wrong why was I being arrested. He said it was for selling drugs. I said noway I am innocent and I have done nothing wrong. So we make to a tent and the keeps saying they are going to book me for selling. They empty out my pockets and take my bud. I said I need that back please. That is my medicine as I am a medical marijuana patient. They just laughed, then asked me what my condition was, I said none of your buisness and they said they just wanted to protect themselves. I told they didn't have to worry. I said if you take my meds I will just goto the despensery in Palm Spring and get more. He said they shut them all down ( a lie cause I got some more the next day). So some cop lady comes over and starts asking a bunch of questions saying again they are going to book me for selling I said I don't understand how as I did not take any money. as I am sitting there the cops are talking about how they get a free room and how they are going party later lol. anyway the lady comes back and started saying your very lucky they are not going to book me just give me a ticket. Well as I had my paper work from my doctor they could only write me a ticket for furnishing. I asked them if they would escort me back into the show. They laughed at me. So as I leave the tent i go to where I was escorted out. Some securtiy guard was there I told him what happened and showed him my used ticket sub, I still cant believe it but he let me back in. I was stressed the rest of the night as I didnt know what furnishing was going to cost me. When I get back to my room I realize its only a 100 fine. and when I went to court my public defender said it was complete BS that he has never seen anyone with that charge and the DA through it out. Tho I did have to admit to the court that the cops had reason to arrest me and pay a 100 dollar court cost which was great cause I do not want anything on my record. Anyway I just want to warn anyone who will listen. also bewary of anyone wearing the sponser clothing. All three of those cops had on Heinekin shirts/hats. Those cops tried to entrap me, had I taken the money he was shoving in my face I would have gotten 1-3 years. NARCS SUCK .. B CAREFUL

he was smoking the one joint he had and these two guys asked if they could buy it, he said no of course and just tried to give it to them but they persisted in buying it.
So after the guys pushing him to let them give him money he was like whatever fuck it and took like 10 bucks and was immediately arrested.

Right before MSTRKRFT, BUsy P, Dj Mehdi, Justice, and LCD.

The acts he was most excited for.

So he gets taken away, mutters something about killing himself since he missed the only acts he wanted see, so they put him on fucking suicide watch in the jail. I cant recall the full story right now, but he was in there over night and couldnt call until the morning. My girlfriend and I waited in the parking lot for like 3 hours for him. Luckily i had the keys, we ended up leaving and heard about the arrest in the morning.

Luckily he found a good lawyer in Palm Springs and ended up getting the charges either dropped or greatly reduced.


So yeah, be warned, dont talk to anyone about your pot, especially if they want to buy it.

Man that sucks! Im always so sceptical on letting loose in the middle of everything. Glad it all worked out for you. Strangely enough, I would have said the exact oppisite of the security and law enforcement there. But now I know to be a little extra carefull....its just weed man!

Last year, early in the day, a couple comes up to my boyfriend and I. They said they got their bags stolen along with their i.d. They asked us if they could have our 21+ wrist band and we could just go get another. I was VERY hesitant. We told them sorry, that we waiting in a long line to get it etc. An hour later we saw them in the beer garden with Coachella STAFF shirts on. Seems suspicious to me, but maybe they were given those cause their clothes were stolen?

Anyway, yeah be VERY careful. Alot of undercover douches....

That sucks!!! You got off easy because of your medical recomendation. Last Aug. My cousin got pulled over by the cops, just 2 blocks from his house. They search his car and find his buds. They booked him and he had to go to court. The judge verified my cousin's recomendation and drops all charges and dissmised the case. If you have a recomendation, just have a copy of it on you and you should be ok, but use common sense. This is not Amsterdam!!! Don't go sparking a joint in front of a cop.

Man, it is just ridiculous how local cops totally disrespect California law permitting medical marijuana. It usually gets thrown out in court but cops just love to harass people who legally are possessing medication. Good suggestion from the poster that suggested carrying a copy of your recommendation with you at the event. Might help, who knows?

Yeah just be smart out there. Don't do shit in the outskirts of crowds. You want to be deeeeep in them. I saw a couple of guys get arrested last year and their acting skills were very lacking especially when faded. I like when they come out in groups from the corner of the outdoor stage. Their "outfits" look soooo rad! Like a safari or something.

But seriously there are some really bored and dumb cops out there. I wish they'd just leave everyone alone and have SUITED cops around so you know who is who. This baiting shit is really pathetic and actually causes MORE danger when people are getting chased through crowds...

Nah, the jail there isn't too bad. Some guy in the joint said the downtown palm springs one is where the real crazies are. Just expect to sleep on a cement floor for a night and try to have a way to get home when they kick you out of jail the next morning. Don't beat anyone up and you'll be sitting with other druggies and drunks hassle free. Anything violent and they'll put you in a very cramped bathroom sized room in an orange jumpsuit. And don't make friends.

almost go arrested in that giant circle thing that spirals inwardm you know if you were there, anyway just sitting there smoking, i had a ridiculous amount of weed (not going to say how much cause you'll just say that i am stupid, which looking back on it omfg bad idea) but i was going to trade it for k at the place with my friend who i could not meet before, anyways, cops roll in there all quick like i stashed the weed in an empty gatorade bottle before they came, when i saw cops i put it in my bag and started walking away leaving my bag for some weird fucking reason that im now happy for, cops stops me cause he said he saw me smoke some "maji-huana", he said it just like manu chao, and had reason to search me anyways he cuffed me and then searched me i didnt have anything in my pockets thank god, they didnt search the backpack i asked if they were charging me with anything they seemed frustrated took like 3 other people in that place away along with some fatchick who tried to make a run for it and totally got tackled it was intense, but they finally let me go (i was pretty drunk cant really remember too well its been almost a year) but i do remember standing up and being uncuffed and right as i got my hands free, arcade fire blaring in the backround just started playing rebellion(lies), it was rather monumental.
