i'm still hoping/praying, but i have alot less faith in the 'ol ace-up-the-sleeve this year... especially with this:

Why would I think this?? Well, let's see... The said L.A. Times article also mentions Jack Johnson as headlining the upcoming 'east-coast Coachella' alongside Radiohead, so why wouldn't I assume he'd be considered a headliner out here as well?

Also, the article really mentions how significant the first U.S. shows by Verve & Portishead, in like a decade, are... that, and the above quote stating they are finding it difficult to secure "splashy, must-see headliners"

But, HEY!, if i'm wrong and the headliners are:
Led Zepplin
The Smiths
Talking Heads

Then fine, it'd be f'ing amazing & i'd pay for your ticket myself... but it ain't gonna happen... and throwing in Prince or some weak reunion act ain't gonna beef it up any...

Well the Verve havent played in the US since 1998, so it is a big deal, and i love them, but I dont think they can headline SUNDAY NIGHT.

but remember this, in 06, daft punk didnt headline, depeche mode did. So a HUGE surprise could be subheadlining.
