Everyone needs a Shower!

Hola!

Hey fellow party animals, I love all my music fests and attend them religiously, but this year I'm doing the camping experience on Coachella and Bonnaroo. Trick is, how do you get a shower and feel "so fresh and so clean clean"?

Is there anyone who is willing to share a shower, if I bring my own soap and shampoo? I'm sure some grunge kids are going to say "quit being a puss, stink it out" but is there anyone willing?

Also, now that cleanliness is taken care of, whos throwing after partys? Campgrounds are going to be littered with them I imagine.

Hi theemoeric, have you read the Onsite Camping FAQ? Coachella puts out free shower trailers for the campers, because they want you to smell like roses.

and I find it funny being told that I act like I know everything when so many of my posts are saying "we know nothing" (in regards to pre-sale, on-sale dates, etc).

If there was a lake, I'd jump in it, otherwise, it'll mostly be the 'euro' shower for me...a decent spritz of fine french cologne under both arms, a head and face douse under a sink faucet, or some bottled water, and a fresh set of duds for each of the 3 days...

That's how I do it in the 'real' world a few days at a time(unless I have a date of course...), that's how I'll do it at Coachella! Stand upwind, or out of the way!

The lines can be bad first thing in the morning...however, after a while the showers get underused...so there is a big surge of people rushing to the showers...and then around 10 or 11 am you can easily find an available shower. Just wait it out.

I never had to wait in like and the shower facilities are great. Apparently there are supposed to be even more showers this year so there should be even less worry of a line.

Only time i'd avoid the showers is late at night.. the water can run out sometimes.

just beware that the showers usu. get shut off earlier on sunday and there aren't any on monday, so be prepared for a sticky/stinky drive home monday.

in other words, bring cleansing wipes too

The onsite camping page says the shower hours are:
Thursday from 1pm - 10:00pm Friday from 6am - 3pm and 6pm - 2am. Saturday 6am - 3pm and 6pm - 2am. Sunday 6am - 3pm and 6pm - 2am. Monday 6am - 10am.

So i'd be astonished if the showers were actually unavailable on Monday. (On the other hand, they do shut off fairly early, and are likely to be more crowded than the other days.

Hey there,
What i have found from past festival experiences, the ideal shower time is early in the morning, like 5 or 6am. There is no one using them, they have been cleaned from the previous evening, got hot water, and then you are ready for the day, all clean clean.
If that fails, the sharing of a shower is a good thing.
And let me know when the official campground/afterparty list is announced, i would like to attend.

If the line at one shower trailer is really bad you can usually just walk to another one with little to no wait. They're all over the outer edge of the camping site.

Oh god yes!!!! Sun. after the show and Monday morning is soooooo clutch! Last year they were closed for good at 6pm on sun or something like that. NO ONE was alble to shower after the Rage set, it was gross.

The showers were open after rage last year, weren't they? I'm pretty sure I showered every night.

Showering early in the morning did not work out well for me - there was a line right away and I just felt hot and sweaty within a few hours. There was no one in line at like 11 AM or so.

I never had an issue waiting very long for showers last year. Mainly because it was too hot to be sleeping by 7 or 8am and I would go straight to the showers and a lot of the time only have a couple of girls in front of me.

I always wore flip flops in there.....and by the time I got back to my tent, I felt dirty again.

The showers that always have no waiting are the "locker room" style showers -- just keep looking straight ahead and don't drop the soap!

The showers with individual stalls usually have a wait...
