    Default Retail liquor prices

What can I expect to pay for a quart (750ml) of Bacardi rum? Or, a 2-4 of brew at stores in the Los Angeles area?

    This is critical information!

No shit, but given that I'm flying in to LAX... sometime after we get our rental and leave the airport we are going to stock up on food, water, and booze. Given that I can't find this stuff online so easily, I just wanted to get an idea.

Maybe $15 for the rum or $13 for an 18-pack of cheap beer (Coors, Miller, Tecate, etc).

That's just an estimate -- I don't know exactly because I mostly buy smaller quantities!

I know Laphroaig is around $30 for the 10 year old. Lagavulin I'm not sure about.

Oh my wet pants $30 for a 10 yr. I am in love. Its official - I am going to guzzle!

For reference, you can get a bottle of jim beam here for about $35. Laphroaig is about $90 a bottle. Bowmore is about $55.

You can get laphroaig 1L for $70, but I like the $35AUD or so you are offering there. I can taste it all now!

    Is there a decent selection?

I'll ship you a lifetime supply of everclear and kool-aid for 500 USD, prepaid.

Seriously though? Those are the prices? How does that work? Is this a conservative government in power type thing? I mean, this is Australia, right? A land literally founded by outlaws? Why is there not a national outrage over this? Better yet, why haven't you started one?

What does non-imported alcohol cost, for what it's worth? Inquiring minds want to know.

It depends on where you go...you need to go into a specialty store like Bevmo or Trader Joe's.

Bevmo has an entire aisle full of scotch.

Maybe if people in Amerikkka were a tad less Republican, they would a) know that Hawai'i was a state and b) acknowledge/welcome their cultural diversity.

Don't rag on me because you're low on Aloha, haole.

How do you infer that more Democrats know that Hawaii is a state than Republicans?

He can't. It was a stupid thing to say.

Not only that, the comment had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the topic being discussed in this thread. Many, if not most, of DeltaSigChi4's posts make no sense.

The level of education in blue states is far advanced than that of red states. Look it up, ace.
