Just for aesthetic purposes. I miss not seeing it on the main page.
I did not think I missed anything by the lack of a Coachella movie lounge this year. If you camped there, Goldenvoice did show some films.
Alright, I agree.
Haha I remember ducking into a movie tent at one point last year. I think I just mosied in while I was by myself eating some food and had a few minutes to kill.
Also, anyone ever see The Coachella DVD and notice that it's not all that good? I don't think it gives a very good sense at all of what it's like to actually be there. I wouldn't show it to someone who hasn't gone. Somehow seeing like 1/2 a Squarepusher song and other rushed edits didn't quite do it for me. Still glad I saw it though I guess.
I heard that I am in the Coachella documentary when Radiohead is playing, but I have not seen it yet myself.
I have shown the DVD to a lot of people and it motivated them to want to go more because they saw the environment and what things can happen at the festival. You should look at it more of "this is how it will be, but just add the bands from this year and thats what you will get."
And I still want that Prodigy performance on the disc.
Bjork's performance on there certainly got me revved up for Bjork this year since I hadn't see her live as a solo artist before this year.
I hope the Coachella folks are going to release a sequel. 2006 and 2007 took place since the last documentary.
2011 is too far away.
Maybe by 2009.
I like how everyone completely missed the point of bballarl's original post.
Naw we got it. But the conversation flowed in the direction of the DVD around my first post on this thread.
Why, do you have more you want to add regarding the movie lounge?
I just noticed I could not find the movie lounge at the event this year, so that is why I posted on here.
