I would be glad if either of them were there.

white power?!
Heh. This is funny.
okay really stupid question, but would he play floyd songs? or does he have a whole other catalog of songs that he would use, and who plays with him?!

He came out with a new album in 2006 called "On an Island." It is absolutely Phenomenal. I saw him in 2006 and he played all of On an Island, and a set of Floyd songs including Shine on and Echoes in its entirety. need i really say more than Echoes?
anyhoo. I would LOVE it if i got a second chance to see him, but it seems very doubtful, he hasnt played since about October '06. I think Roger Waters would be more likey, his stage production is great. he put on great shows in 06 and 07 at the Bowl. He almost compares to Gilmour. I hope you are right moviebruin

Part of me doubts this majorly... would Goldenvoice really bank on everyone knowing who he is and make him a headliner?
light side of the sun...
That's all I'm sayin'...
Yeah, well, luck pushed me first.
Waters:
Gilmour:
I'd almost like to make a poll for it but I hate polls so we'll vote here. Which would you rather see at the Polo Fields based on those two clips? Gilmour's solo KILLS it, his voice is a hell of an improvement over the bullshit replacement Waters uses, but Waters has the huge backing band and like the video screen, while Gilmour has more laser work.

ya. Gilmours got the Guitar skillzz AND the Voice. Roger doesnt, his concerts work, because he has prominent female back up singers. Waters has a damn good stand in for Gilmour, but you cant be the real deal. I think we all know who my vote goes to. What do YOU think Randy
Waters is the genius behind why they were great. He made their shows legendary. But Gilmour is definitely the performing talent. Honestly? I wish we'd just get Floyd again without Waters and have them put on a show like the Division Bell Tour. That shit slayed all:
I have always admired Waters' writing ability. Some of the stuff on The Wall literally blew me away, it was so crisp and spot on. I have always liked Gilmour's vocals a lot more, however. Couple that with the fact that I saw Waters last year and have never seen Gilmour, I'd vote for Gilmour.
Upcoming: 05/07/13 - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes - Sunshine Theater (Albuquerque, NM); 05/25/13 - Fleetwood Mac - Hollywood Bowl (Hollywood, CA); 05/29/13 - Arctic Monkeys - Sunshine Theater (Albuquerque, NM); 05/30/13 - The Postal Service - Red Rocks (Morrison, CO); Bjork performing Biophilia - 06/02/13 - Hollywood Palladium (Hollywood, CA); Bjork - 06/11/13 - Hollywood Bowl (Hollywood, CA);
I'm not very familiar with Gilmour's solo stuff, and Gilmour playing Pink Floyd songs has a limited appeal for me, since Roger Waters was such a huge part of the creation of some of their greatest songs. I'm sure the songs sound great from Gilmour but it wouldn't be the same. I would still watch him, though.

I don't want either one playing though unless they're going to put on a better light spectacle than either of those solo clips. They're fucking Floyd, they should at least have as much cool laser shit as Tool the last leg of their tour.
I have a better chance of hearing Great Gig in the Sky and Us and Them with Waters, so he gets my vote.
