What a great band Garbage is!
I love most of their songs but a few of my favorites are:
Dog new tricks
Supervixen
Sex is not the enemy
what are your favorites?

I hate to correct you,but they are NOT broken up.From Wiki:
They sort of have to work around Butch Vig's producing schedule...The band cut short a 2005 world tour, and announced an indefinite hiatus, but emphasized the stoppage was not a break-up. Garbage reunited in early 2007 to record new tracks for the greatest hits album, Absolute Garbage, that was released in July 2007.
Edit
In a recent interview with Billboard.com, Butch Vig has stated that Garbage is considering mid-2008 to begin making a fifth album, saying, "We're thinking about it...I think we're more interested in making something that's much more primal and stripped down. Absolute Garbage is the postscript to chapter one. Whatever we do next will definitely be chapter two."

I've never seen them live, but I really like some of their covers, particularly The Butterfly Collector.Plus she's sexy as hell...

I thought this was just another speculation thread about the lineup...
1. Run to a nice patch of grass on the fields and lay face down.
2. Tilt your head ninety degrees with your forehead temple resting on your forearm and watch people through the vision pocket right underneath your armpit hair.
3. Do this for a few hours until you get comfortable.
A Daft Punk thread containing 'nothing of substance'. How bout that.
Eric Avery played bass on their last album.
i saw them open for no doubt about 5 yrs ago. both performances were really good but the crowd was just obnoxious.
I went to that tour because I love Garbage. I left after a few songs by No Doubt because I hate them. Garbage was great, as always. I've seen Garbage open for Smashing Pumpkins (also left early) and Alanis Morissette (I used to like her). I think my first real date with Jacob was at the Garbage/Alanis concert.
man this takes me back. I saw them 3 times in 98. (three of my first six concerts...). every show was fantastic. I haven't seen them since. beautiful garbage was just horrific, so I avoided that tour entirely. the subsequent one was far better, but I felt they were charging too much for tickets.
it's been 9 years now. next time...
my sister went to that show. she wasn't going to until i told her she'd be a freakin idiot for not going. i was "too young" to go so i am still jelous she went.
i really don't blame you here. version 2.0 was ok, i still prefer their debut, but beautiful garbage just wasn't the garbage i knew. i pretend it doesn't exist.
I also like their cover of The Ramones "I Just Wanna Have Something To Do"...

The Ramones cover is from this
The Jam cover (Butterfly Collector) I think was a B-Side.
