Tent size

Last time I posted I was to lazy to find my response..

some friends and I wanna sack up and get a 12 man tent.

has this been done and is it legal / enforced .

if you read the FAQ about on-site camping it says one person camping alone can have a tent that takes up 7' x 7' (approx. 50 square feet). If sharing then add 7' x 7' per person. I hope this answers your questions.
