Thread: I might be weird but

    Default I might be weird but

    I like the red hot chili peppers. What is so wrong with them? I would love to see rage but hey i got only one ticket to see RHCP. Where is the love? Who should have headlined instead of them? They really do give great live acts even though they play most of the same stuff. Its just weird to see so much hate for such a good band.

    Well thats what i think. Let the flaming begin.

    You're outnumbered. Deal with it. Make sure you don't miss The Grammys!

    Good for you man. If you like them, no one is stopping you. Who should have headlined instead of them? That differs in opinion. I was hoping for someone like R.E.M., but this gives me the chance to see a band in a smaller setting while RHCP is doing their set.

    I agree with you that the Chili Peppers are a great band, and usually are very energetic live. I think most people on this board are simply tired of the chili peppers. They have played several shows in the LA/ southern california area in the last year, so the diehard fans have had several opportunities to already see them.
    I think that the obvious choices that people would have been more excited about seeing would have been either The Police or the Smashing Pumpkins.
    Chili Peppers= played like 3 different shows in the past year in LA area alone
    Pumpkins= haven't played in 6-7 years
    Police= haven't toured in 24 years! and only played about 3 brief performance in those 24 years....
    so its a no brainer.
    But I'm sure the Chili Peppers will bring alot of party funk energy and reconnect with alot of people who haven't been into them since Blood Sugar Sex Magic. I personally am psyched to see them (again), because i think their new album is pretty solid, even if every other song is about California. John Frusciante is playing better NOW then he even was during Blood Sugar. That reason alone is enough for me to get excited about seeing them at Coachella.

    John Frusciante is a truely great guitarist, and Flea is a truely great bassist.
