    Default Modest Mouse?

Nobody really seems to be talking about these guys as a possibility. Definitely not headliner material but I know as of a month or so ago they were still on tour with Man Man and people wanted them at Coachella last year. Maybe not. Whoopsie daisy. Worthless thread.

Modest Mouse sounds like a very plausible sub-headliner.

I'm sure they could have gotten over it in 10 years, if there's any truth to that.

I would definitely enjoy seeing them there (esp if they played stars are projectors), but I've seen them a few times, and the only time they ever disappointed was at a festival show (local radio station thing). They weren't bad, just not what I had hoped for. But I've seen them twice since and they rocked it both times. So who knows? Maybe they just had an off night the first time.

I would want to see Modest Mouse at Coachella if they'd go back to playing the classics, instead of playing the new "We Were Dead..." bullshit like they did at Treasure Island.

I think they're generally a great band to see at a festival. It'd be laid back and the crowd would be chill

I saw them at the Treasure Island festival. They were good, but played almost exclusively from We Were Dead... and Good News... minus a few.

    Modest Mouse would be cool.

If they ever wanted to change the band name it should be Humble Hamster.

Yes to the london job, though that is not a full time gig.

No to the best band EVA

    and

No to the new less than stellar new album.

I've seen them a number of times, and when they play stuff from the west and the moon they still kill it... maybe even better as issac has been sober enough to remember the lyrics... though I will say, saw him a couple of hours after the last show stumbling his way home gotta love portland!

Nice. I was able to catch them back in 2005 and they were very good live. Although I didn't properly appreciate their because they were between me and the Pixies. Oh well.

How does Salahroo and Salahchella differ? (Sahara aside)

SalahRoo doesnt have many fans at the moment but I love it.

The Cure (3-3 1/2 hr set)
    KISS
    NIN
    My Morning Jacket (ditto)
Phish (I dont really know them but its necessary)
    Weird Al Yancovic Late-Night Set
    YeahYeahYeahs
    Meat Loaf
    Modest Mouse
    Tenacious D (!!!!)
    The Black Keys Late-Night Set
    Dolly Parton
    The Faint

    SalahChella is something like

    The White Stripes
    Gorillaz
    Outkast
    Bowie
    BECK (duh)
    The Faint

I havent really given much thought to SalahChella except for the headliners.

this is one of those bands that will never, ever play all the songs I want to hear no matter how many times I see them. that said, I will continue to see them and try.

Not going to lie, Salahroo is... an interesting mix.

The point is this; goddamn Modest Mouse are perfect for a second or third tier sub-head slot at Coachella. I'm baffled as to how they haven't played yet.
